“Listen- my husband and I went here for an anniversary dinner and this was hands down the best food I've ever had. It was amazing - we had the Hungarian peppers (5 stars), the Cesar salad (5 stars), the pork chop and Tavern burger entrees (5 stars) the chocolate pudding dessert (like 3 billion stars), and the incomparable service from Sara and everyone else on the team (there are not enough stars to explain how kind and truly vested these people were in us having a good anniversary). Go visit, go eat, treat yourself to this experience and spend your hard earned pennies with these people- it will not be time or money wasted.”

“I was pleasantly surprised to find such a trendy, cool spot in Birmingham! Wooden City has a great vibe and an energy that really stands out. The service was excellent across the board—from the hostess to the bartenders, everyone was friendly and attentive. There was about a 45–60 minute wait for a table, but we opted to sit at the bar and it worked out perfectly. We enjoyed a few drinks along with a burger and chicken sandwich—everything was spot on. If you’re looking for a good spot in Birmingham, I’d highly recommend Wooden City. Definitely worth a visit!”

“Highly recommend the beet ravioli even if you aren’t usually a fan of beets. Great pizza, soup, and cocktail selection. The spritz was great, gives sangria vibes. In a busy part of town, so make a reservation.”

“The food was delicious! Especially the chive oil they give with their ficcota bread is amazing! The wood fire pizza was delicious except the bottom tasted burnt. Like the oven needed to be wiped out. Service was subpar. I thought she was going to be good, but once I got my food, I didn't see her till she dropped off the "dessert menu" and walked away. It took so long to get my check that I ended up having to pay for parking for 7 minutes.”
