Cola's is an American restaurant in the The Vista neighborhood of Columbia.
“Went to Cola's tonight with friends. It was my first visit. The food and service was excellent. I ordered the Fried Pork Chop minus the apple gravy, collard greens, and mac n cheese. Everything was delicious. The pork chop was humongous. Will definitely visit again. The only negative thing I will say is that I was with a large group. We were seated next to the first table you see, to your right, when you enter the restaurant. The space was tight. I kept getting bumped in the back and back of the head by the waitress serving the 2 tables behind us. No excuse me or nothing. We kept repositioning the table to try to allow more space for her to move through the area. No such luck. It kept happening. I would ask that they assess this seating situation in this area. Particularly if you are seating a large group. This should not happen to a customer that is trying to enjoy their outing.”
“This is an excellent location. Everyone was so friendly and our waiter, Bret was always helpful and attentive!! He had a great sense of humor too!! Parking is a little small but manageable. Definitely try them out!!”
“Fantastic experience from beginning to end! We had a Saturday reservation at 630p. There was no parking available in their lot so we parked in the adjacent paid lot. We were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. I started with a glass of the Fableist Cabernet, which was excellent, and a healthy pour. We were brought a loaf of fresh, out of the oven bread, with oil and Parmesan for dipping. For an appetizer, we selected the Gnocchi Caprese from the specials menu. It absolutely phenomenal, and pillowy soft. I moved on to the Roasted Beet Salad, in which all the ingredients were perfectly balanced. For my entree, I chose the Blackened Mahi and Shrimp. Another home run! My table mate ordered the BBQ Glazed Salmon, which I sampled and to no surprise, it was also delicious. Dessert was the Chocolate Torte, which was smooth and creamy and decadent! The Toffee Cheesecake looked devine. This was my first time at Cola’s, but definitely won’t be the last. The food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal out!”
“Cola’s remains my family’s favorite dining spot at downtown Columbia! And the food tonight was amazing as always, and I am super glad I chose them for my last dinner in SC. The shrimp & risotto cake appetizer was so creamy and the Brie & raspberry fondue was fantastic as well! For entrees, we got the shrimp and grits and braised beef, both were absolutely delicious; even as someone who doesn’t like seafood, the trout was pretty good and the presentation was on point. As for dessert, I highly recommend the truffle cheesecake and crème brûlée, their chocolate dessert was also pretty awesome. One thing to watch out is to make sure that you mark “prefer a booth” on your reservation, as when we requested one upon arrival they didn’t have any available (a bit strange because they were only 30% occupied at 6pm), so if you would like one, request it early! Service was pretty good as well and our server was very professional. We will be back!”
“Food-wise, this place was solid overall. The calamari portion was impressively generous, and the crispy flounder was a standout. Get the sauce on the side so it stays crispy. The one miss was the side of linguini and vegetables, which felt like an afterthought: overcooked noodles with equally overcooked roasted veggies. On the upside, the short ribs were very good, and the filet mignon was also excellent. Service was polite and friendly, but our server didn’t seem to know much about the menu, including the basics about the specials. The biggest frustration was before we even arrived—I tried calling multiple times to ask about parking and got a busy signal every time. When I mentioned it to the host at check-in, she just shrugged and said, “We get a lot of calls,” which came off pretty dismissive. It’s 2025; a restaurant really shouldn’t have a single phone line that stays busy. Overall, good food with a few service hiccups, but room for improvement on the customer experience side.”
