“I know, I know, chicken sandwich at a seafood restaurant….but hear me out…absolutely AMAZING! Seriously the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Along with the trio dips. Give it a try”
“This was our first time coming to this restaurant, and I have to say it was super cute! We started off with a bowl of clam chowder, and also the lobster dip, which was a suggestion from our server. Both were absolutely delicious! For our entrées, we got the Tuna poke bowl and the Fish tacos. Both were very fresh, delicious, and a good value for the price. They were a little short staffed today, but our server really took great care of us. We would definitely return”
“TJ's Seafood on Preston Road has a lot of history and a loyal following for good reason — at its peak this place was one of the best seafood spots in Dallas. The market side is still a nice touch and the sourcing is clearly still a priority. But if you've been coming here for years like I have, it's hard not to notice that something has shifted. The food is still solid, don't get me wrong. But the consistency just isn't what it once was and a few dishes that used to be a sure thing have felt a little off lately. For the price point they're operating at, that's noticeable. Service and wait times can also be a challenge depending on when you go. Worth planning around if you can. It's still a respectable seafood option in Dallas and I'll probably keep coming back hoping it returns to form. But I'd be doing people a disservice if I gave it five stars based on what it is today versus what it was. Here's hoping they course correct — the bones of a great restaurant are still there. 🐟”
“The staff and service was impeccable, however the ambiance was slightly detracted because of the slight smell of fish inside the restaurant. For this reason I opted for the patio, however the location is in a strip mall so it's not optimal. I had the market price lobster roll which is fairly big and I think decent value and quite tasty. There is some cleaning that needs to be done around the tables as there is some candy and wrappers under the table. A few little tweaks would bring the overall experience up a notch, but like I said the staff was on point and engaging while still professional and very fast.”
“I did not like the seafood gumbo. The roux tasted odd and overall the gumbo was not good. I also tried the grain bowl with farro, salmon, etc. It was not good either. The lobster appetizer was good. My husband had the clam chowder and the halibut entree. He enjoyed his food! The service was good. I had high expectations for my food and was disappointed!”
