“Bi-weekly staple in our household. Walloons is one of those spots that delivers a great balance of quality food and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, it feels like a place you can settle into—whether you’re grabbing drinks, enjoying seafood, or meeting up with friends. The menu has a strong mix of options, and everything feels fresh and well-executed, especially if you’re leaning toward seafood. The vibe is what really stands out—lively without being overwhelming, with a clean, stylish setup that fits Fort Worth perfectly. It’s the kind of place that works for a casual night out or something a little more intentional. Overall, a solid addition to the local dining scene and definitely somewhere we’d come back to.”
“The service was wonderful and the food was even better. It was a really great night with fantastic waiters and really good food and recommendations. The drinks from the bar were well mixed and tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good night.”
“We've lived in FtW for years and not visited Walloon's until this very (Saturday) evening. We absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. The drinks. The service. The atmosphere. And of course the food! It's a perfect spot, too, for a date with your partner. There was a buzz tonight. Many peeps attending the FtW Stock Show & Rodeo were having dinner. Our server was also attentive, kind, and boxed up the leftovers. We forgot her name, but she was skinny, a little short, and had black hair. We started with two cocktails from the Limited Time Only menu: the spicy marg and the TX Whiskey drink. I enjoyed the Beer-Battered Redfish Beignets and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich w/ Pommes Frites. Everything was hot, crispy, seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. I'll be back for the Italian Beef and Trout Almondine.”
“Walloon’s is an absolute gem in Fort Worth. From start to finish, our dinner was nothing short of exceptional. We started with a dozen oysters, perfectly fresh and briny, setting the tone for the night. The corn bisque soup followed, rich and velvety with just the right touch of sweetness—comfort in a bowl. The steak frites stole the show: beautifully cooked, tender, and full of flavor, paired with perfectly crisp fries. For dessert, the bread pudding was a masterpiece—warm, indulgent, and elevated even further by a glass of 20-year port. The drinks were equally impressive. My Hemingway daiquiri was balanced and refreshing, the perfect pairing with the oysters and steak. Every detail of the evening, from the atmosphere to the attentive service, felt thoughtful and polished. Walloon’s is the kind of place that makes you want to linger, savor, and come back again. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Fort Worth.”
“Not quite the atmosphere we expected or were seeking for a romantic date night. Think noisy retro diner versus classy noir vibes. We made our reservation at a low traffic time (5:00pm Saturday) but still got seated at a tiny table we barely fit into in a terrible location up again a booth full of noisy children. (Plenty of free larger tables all over the restaurant.) Maybe we should have checked “special occasion” on the reservation to automatically get good seating at a nice booth. The service however was top notch as were the speciality drinks. Food was nice and well presented but not spectacular. They do have gluten free dishes which was appreciated. To be fair to the lovely staff and management they finally offered to move us near the end of our meal after we mentioned to them that we were struggling to hear each other over the din next to us that had reached day care levels of volume, but by then we were just ready to go. Would respectfully recommend to the staff that if someone comes in with a reservation dressed up for a date night, please be more intentional about seating them appropriately and/or least ask “is this table all right?” We would have expressed a different preference up front had that been the case. One assumes a good table comes with a reservation at a restaurant where a meal for two with drinks is well over $100.”
