Conveniently located in Auraria, Ball Arena's Breckenridge Brewery Mountain House is inspired by the Q Creek Ranch in Wyoming, capturing the unparalleled beauty found only in the Rocky Mountains. Q Creek Ranch is a historic working cattle ranch three and a half hours north of Denver where herds of buffalo, elk, and antelope roam free on over a half million acres of mountains, grasslands, and freshwater lakes. The Q Creek Ranch displays the unparalleled beauty found only in the Rocky Mountains of open blue sky as far as the eye can see. Breckenridge Brewery Mountain House evokes the comfortable, warm feel of an authentic 100 year old lodge and reflects a love of all things Western. As the restaurant developed, authenticity was our guide. The ceilings are built from reclaimed snow fencing from the plains of Wyoming. The walls and support beams are constructed of fallen timber salvaged from the devastating Yellowstone National Park fires. The extensive stonework, including the two grand fireplaces, was mined from a Colorado quarry and hand-stacked as it was 100 years ago. The floor planking was rescued from turn-of-the-century barns. Rustic iron and antler chandeliers light the historic paintings, hand-picked antiques and original artifacts. A contemporary American bar food restaurant located within Ball Arena, home of the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Mammoth. Offering a mountain retreat vibe and oozing with that Colorado outdoor charm.
“We had some food and drinks at Ball Arena before the game. The food was good, prices were average and the menu was sufficient. Sevina was very helpful, friendly and kind. Thanks to her for the great service.”
“This was a GREAT place to enjoy dinner before an Avalanche game. We had no reservations so we waited 20-30 minutes to be seated. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with world class lodge elements everywhere you look. Once we were seated, the service was 6-out-of-10. I walked our glasses to another section to get our sodas refilled. We asked for more ranch for our fries and the staff gave us the most confused stare...we never got the ranch. But the food was good and I would definitely return.”
“Very comfortable as long as there isn’t a crowd. Pro tip: come here 5 minutes before each period ends for hockey / basketball and you’ll have the place to yourself. Upstairs was closed but my boy friend and I enjoyed hanging by the fireplace. Drinks are massively overpriced unfortunately and the mixer drinks weren’t very strong. It can be smashed packed with rowdy sports fans during peak hours.”
“Staff is great and the ambience is wonderful. The food is bland. We've eaten here 3 times before a Mammoth game. Shrimp salade sandwich, I got 2 little shrimp. Cold pastrami sandwich, the meat was very cold and it didn't have dressing on it. This trip, the flatbread with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and something else. I got 3 bites of marinara sauce. Very boring. The deviled eggs were OK. The best part of the meal and why we come back, the mango cart beer.”
“Food and drinks were overpriced even for a sports venue. They tried to overcharge me for a double cocktail which I never asked for. The only reason I gave two stars is that the waiter was decent and he took the charge off for the double cocktail after I mentioned it, although most people probably wouldn't have complained. The fork I ate with seemed flimsy. The bathroom had some paper towels on the floor.”
