“Brunch was amazing with one of my dearest friends and world renowned artist from Detroit Donald Conway page 2,. The food was amazing early afternoon cocktails were delicious. The atmosphere was crisp and delightful a wonderful spot in Detroit to come out and breathe fresh air and meet people of the same mindset who want to get out and love our city”
“Some friends and I went here before a concert a few weeks. Our waitress Priscilla was amazing & Al the sweet older gentleman kept our waters so full we had to politely turn him away a few times LOL The mgr even came out and spoke to us and other tables. We all loved our cocktails and food!!!! Some of the items looked expensive for the size but what we had and when it was split up between 4 people, seemed reasonable. Would definitely come back.”
“Visited for brunch on Super Bowl Sunday at 11:45 and there were plenty of seats open for walk-in. Our waitress Tiara was amazing and went out of her way to make me an iced latte, which loved! I had the French toast and definitely recommend it. I took away one star only because my husband had the chicken and waffles which he said was good, but the chicken was quite dry.”
“This was my first time visiting Empire Kitchen & Cocktails. It was very busy, and I noticed that several tables hadn’t received their food after I was seated and ordered my food—the kitchen seemed a bit backed up. I ordered the short rib with whipped potatoes and tomatoes, and it was absolutely worth the wait. It was seasoned perfectly and easily the best short rib I’ve had at a restaurant. It was very tender. For dessert, I got the chocolate chip cookie brownie with ice cream and caramel drizzle. While I enjoyed the ice cream, the cookie had a strong freezer-burn taste. My cousins tried it as well and agreed. It would have been great if not for that issue. Overall, my cousins also liked their food, but their order of potato slices was burnt. Despite the long wait and minor issues, I’d consider coming back for the short rib and I'd try the pizza and a different dessert.”
“I was hesitant on making a review and/or commenting on how this establishment is ran simply because it was the first time i attended but i’d rather do i came here for my birthday . i went in brought my food sat and ate and unfortunately a homeless man was able to enter the establishment and come right up too me for over 2-3 too ask for money and/or to just say random things. i’m a young black women who enjoys to go out and adventure but at what cost ? why was this man able to make it all the way too me in my personal space? i felt unprotected and scared especially since there several men in that place and it too a hot second for the fact of a homeless man being up on a customer for them to escort him out, again this is a bad today celebration and this is what i’m gifted lol. Idk if I’ll be back only because that was very very scary and unfortunate… within the next 5 mins i gathered my things and left because it was too uncomfortable to stay.”
