“Put simply, the chefs special was outstanding. The food was simultaneously very elegant and hearty. I love food that makes me feel dumb, because my mind never would have thought to combine flavours in such a way. As a meat enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised to have most enjoyed the greek salad (the tzatziki, fresh, dill and mint, and yellow raisins) which was so fresh and luscious at the same time. However, my table agreed that the pasta was our favourite dish. The fillet was cooked perfectly but it was the pineapple teriyaki sauce that stole the show. I would highly recommend.”
“This place was fantastic! It was my first time here, and it definitely won’t be my last. Our server, James, was absolutely top-notch. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the food was incredible. We decided to go with the Chef’s Tasting Menu, which is a five-course experience. Normally, I’m about as adventurous with food as a kid ordering chicken fingers, but taking a chance on the tasting menu turned out to be the best decision of the night. Every single course was delicious, and each one somehow managed to outdo the last. I even took pictures, which is something I usually only do when my dogs look extra cute. Highly recommend giving the Chef’s Tasting Menu a try—you might surprise yourself!”
“We did the menu tasting experience for the table. Every course was full of flavor and the portions were perfect. Great cocktail menu as well. Service was fabulous. Will definitely be back!”
“We had a great experience at Grey Ghost. We did the chef's tasting, and it was a good way to try different things. I will say 1-2 items were a little salty for me but other than that the steak, trout, and salad were delicious and our server was great, I wish I could remember his name.”
“Had a great experience at Grey Ghost Detroit. The vibe hits that sweet spot—trendy and energetic without trying too hard or feeling over the top. We grabbed a few seats at the bar with some coworkers, and while it took a little longer than expected to get our first round, it was well worth the wait. The cocktails were outstanding across the board. We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly—crispy, balanced, and easily one of the better appetizers I’ve had in a while. For my entrée, I went with the pork skirt steak with green strawberry, and it absolutely delivered. Unique, flavorful, and one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. My coworkers ordered the rib cap and couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. To wrap things up, the bartender recommended a cognac-based dessert drink that was the perfect finish to the meal. Overall, a fantastic spot. Big credit to the chefs and bartenders for delivering both creativity and execution. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Detroit.”
