“Ellis & Ben. Took this from what was already a 4.5 out of five experience, to a 7 out of five. Absolutely incredible. Ellis made us 3 of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, All off menu. I would go back over and over again just to drink their cocktails. Food as always was incredible. Will go back every chance we get.”

“WOW, just wow. The fact that they have a place so incredible like this in the heart of downtown Detroit is so special. It makes you want to live here! The views are beautiful, the cocktails are good and the dimly lit atmosphere at night is absolutely romantic. From the moment you walk into the building you are engulfed with incredible views of a historic building preserved and maintained to show its original excellence. Walk up to the concierge desk where they will tell you to take the elevator up to Kampers and you won't be disappointed. I wish it would have been warmer weather for a romantic rooftop experience- next time! This was all around, my favorite experience in Detroit.”

“Of course Kamper's is five star. On one of the top level of historic Book tower, it offers small plates, drinks, and panoramic views of downtown Detroit. Everything was so good. Food was fresh, house cocktails were on point. Bartender/server is very knowledge of their menu and provided recommendations. Styling of the lounge is warm and comfortable. And of course the skyline is immaculate at night. Usually they need a reservation but I walked in during middle of winter where it was 10degree outside so there were not a lot of customers.”

“Super beautiful view!! Kampers is in the lovely book tower with plenty other places to check out but this one is a must. The staff members we met from the hostess who escorted us to the elevator up to the rooftop, our waitress and the bartenders were all lovely people. Drinks were good but the show stopper is definitely the view and atmosphere 😁.”

“The Kamper’s rooftop was something I had not been to because im usually in Detroit during the winter. It was such a pleasure to go finally. The decor is bold and warm complete with evergreen colored velvet curtains drawn open by guided metallic leaves. The skyline is perfection and so is the ability to look all the way up at to the top of the Book Cadillac Building in all of its glory. The champagne and cocktails are well priced and the bar staff incredibly welcoming.”
