“5 star experience, food and service. My new favorite steakhouse of all time. Do not skip the cheesy mashed potatoes and butter cake dessert.”
“Outstanding dry aged bone in ribeye. One of the best I’ve ever had. Wife said the same. Service was excellent. Attention to detail was notable. Our server was named Zsolt and was outstanding at his craft. Will be back.”
“Amazing Tomahawk Ribeye for 2! Also loved the dessert White Chocolate Banana Cream Pie! The Moscado Nivole is the best I’ve ever had! Like candy.”
“It was our first time here. The top three items were the bread, butter, and cinnamon walnut apple pie (a star for each). A butter cake ~7 inches by 2 inches has no business being $32. The Bone in Ribeye was flavorless (disappointing beyond belief), but we will salvage it to make steak and eggs for breakfast. The Waygu was “pretty good,” and I mean that literally. The shrimp was overcooked and the crispy lobster was quite literally fried. The Bearnaise sauce tasted sweet almost like a dessert, so hard no! Maybe that is what you want but eh, not for the cost. The Brussel sprouts were 95% overcooked with a few perfectly charred while retaining texture and flavor. The Cesar salad was weak & surprisingly small for the “full size.” The steaks overall were near appropriate temperature. However, for the cost and the subpar quality of the majority of the food, I cannot recommend this place for dinner, but bread and dessert, sure. Think about the cost vs quality before you opt to celebrate your birthday here like I did!”
“This is my FIRST bad review I’ve ever made. I worked in fine dining once upon a time, so I have seen it all, but NEVER this. The Oysters Rockefeller comes WITHOUT SHELLS?! This is not mentioned on the menu/by staff, and it’s a huge red flag for me. It’s giving pre-made, frozen/canned, casserole-sort of concoction… otherwise known as “poor man’s oysters rockefeller” after some research (bc never in my life have I seen such a thing). At first, I thought no way… they must shuck them in the back… this is a really nice & expensive restaurant… maybe they just took the work out of it for me? Nope. We eventually discovered underneath the burnt crust was several shriveled oysters in each “cup”. I then knew for 100% certainty they were not hand-shucked. For $21, I expect a dish that doesn’t make me gag. I asked, “Wow, do they shuck these in the kitchen? I’ve never seen this before.” To which the server replied, “I’m not sure… I think the answer is no because I’ve never seen them do it before.” I sat for 5 minutes watching my $59 steak get cold waiting for my steak knife. None of my used plates/silverware were removed from the table & entrees came out mid-way through the first course. Champagne should never be served in a warm glass. I’m sure it’s because it was fresh out of the dishwasher, but nobody wants to drink lukewarm alcohol & it ruins the bubble content. The bernaise sauce doesn’t taste authentic. Done correctly, there should be a hint of alcohol that burned off over the flame. I have had a better version of this exact meal at home. What exactly is the ~$40 markup on an 8 oz. filet for if not the experience??? The prices here at Chophouse are meant to reflect quality ingredients & service, and unfortunately that is not the case.”
