Northampton Wine + Dine

“Quaint, cozy, and all about the wine! Northampton Wine + Dine focuses on the wine first and foremost. Sitting in the bar is sitting amongst the wine in the shop. You're encouraged to go take a look around if you want to find something off the by-the-glass list, and you add $10 to the price of the bottle as a corkage fee. Very reasonable! The dine, though secondary to the wine, is nothing to sneeze at! We got the brie (very sweet but good, could have gotten it for dessert), the trout, and the scallops, all delicious. It did take the brie a very long time to come out, but the meal flowed nicely from there. If you're in a hurry, let them know so the server can make recommendations. Some folks have complained about there being no music, which I can see if you were sitting in the main dining room, but I liked the hum of the place as it filled with conversations from the patrons. Our table was to the side of the bar, and I loved the view of the wine and the brick walls, but would have preferred some of the empty wine boxes be stored somewhere else. Just realize you are eating in a wine store if you're not in the main dining room. They also have lots of side rooms for private parties! Outdoor seating is also available. The service was prompt and welcoming. The sommelier came over to give recommendations for our palate and budget. They have something for everyone! We split a bottle and were very happy with our choice. Northampton Wine + Dine has been a Greenville staple for decades and I can see why! Will be back!”

“My husband and I celebrated our 12th anniversary this past Tuesday at Northampton Wine. What an amazing evening we had! We attended the Reynolds Family wine dinner. Steve Reynolds was both entertaining and informative. The food was delicious and the wine pairings were spectacular. This is one of our regular dinner locations and it never disappoints!”

“We had an absolutely wonderful dinner last night! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The service was outstanding; attentive without ever feeling intrusive, which made the evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. Two of our diners ordered the fillet, and both were cooked to perfection. I had the salmon paired with butternut squash risotto, and it was truly outstanding: rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For dessert, we shared the pumpkin cheesecake and the bread pudding, and both were phenomenal. Every single dish impressed us, and we all commented on how consistently excellent the food was from beginning to end. This restaurant delivered a flawless dining experience, and we can’t wait to return!”

“We had a good meal at Northampton Wine and Dine. Service was very nice. We enjoyed two glasses of wine, two appetizers and two main dishes. The dishes were tasty, but more suited to an older palate. The cutlery and glassware were wonderful. The lighting was too bright and cold. The music was exclusively classic rock, which didn’t fit the vibe of the restaurant at all. I’m glad we tried it and we love the location and easy parking.”

“Great quiet, private atmosphere. The burger was severely underwhelming and the fries tasted almost cheap and frozen. The filet mignon was slightly overcooked with unmelted butter slathered on top. Weird….the wine by the glass was ok. No Italian red wine options- only French, California, and Spain. The charcuterie board was also very underwhelming and was ok….honestly if you want a quieter environment with good wine and privacy, this is a good place. Food was underwhelming. Service was great-prompt and attentive!”
