“i loved this tiki bar so much from the drinks (order the skull and crown), to the food, (my fav was the rangoon nachos and the lucky chicken) to the service and vibes of the place. it was an amazing tiki bar vibe with a slight horror aspect with thunder and lighting! jason k was an amazing server i will definitely be back, even the dessert was amazing, the ube tree leches is a must try which was also recommended by jason! mahalo! :) (P.S. don’t forget to order the dagger mai tai they won’t tell you what’s in it)”

Tucked away in Chinatown, Skull & Crown Trading Co. opens at 5pm, and from the outside you might walk right past it without realizing the magic hiding inside. The entrance looks simple, almost dismissing, but the moment you step in, the whole atmosphere transforms. The space feels like a one-of-a-kind hawaiian tiki dream. The lighting, the music, the textures, everything is carefully curated to create a mysterious, tropical, slightly surreal vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. Even the details around the bar feel like part of a story. The bartender crafted pure magic. Every drink tasted like a potion you didn’t know you needed, layered, smooth, and unforgettable. The waiter recommended the lettuce wraps special, and that was the perfect call. Fresh, flavorful, and packed with taste. This place is not just dinner, it’s an experience. “I’ve been here several times for drinks and finally came back for food. Every experience has been awesome. The service is impeccable and the staff seems genuinely happy to be working there, which is always a good sign. The drinks are delicious and well crafted. And now I can say that the food is just as good. The ambience is perfect, not too over the top, but definitely a fun tiki bar vibe. Just be warned, the area outside can be a little rough… Don’t let that deter you.”

“One of the best spots we tried in Honolulu that wasn’t a chain or a tourist trap—such a win. The swordfish rangoon nachos were absolutely unreal and hands down some of the best I’ve ever had (coming from a fellow nacho connoisseur). The flavor profile was bold, balanced, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the lantern chicken and the kalbi ribs—the ribs were a close second favorite and incredibly well done. The vibe was just as good as the food. The inside is eclectic and fun, while the outdoor patio makes for a cozy, perfect date-night spot. We’re in Honolulu every so often for work and will 100% be back.”
