“The single best tiki bar experience on the west coast! Possibly the country. I've been to all of the greats along the west coast and Chicago, and this place wins. The build is very well thought out and every square inch has thought put into it, even the restrooms are amazing. I had the Three Dots and a Dash and it was one of the best ones I've had. Check out the Captain's Quarters while you're here, it's like a speakeasy inside a speakeasy. Put Strong Water on your list!”

“This bar been on my list for a while now and I am so glad I went to check it out. Didn't have a reservation but would recommend if your going as a group. The bartenders were wonderful and helpful. Ordered 2 drinks and both were amazing. I really want to go back and get the Velvet Banana. A drink I highly recommend to end the night with. The atmosphere is top tier.”

“Made a last minute reservation here while road tripping through So. Cal. We got there 2 hours early and they were very nice. Accommodated us after a 10 minute wait. Theming inside is really good. Sat at the bar in the Captains Quarters. Gail hooked us up with some killer cocktails. We had a 1944 Mai Tai, Tropical Itch, Pearl Diver and Missionaries Downfall. We ordered the Loaded TOT’s and Chicken Spring rolls. The tots were great. Like nachos with braised shortribs and a crema sauce. The spring rolls were very hot.. but honestly lacked flavor and the sauce they were served with didn’t really do much to improve them. They weren’t bad… just not at the level we expected based on the quality if the experience and the drinks which were 100% on point as far as classic Tiki cocktails go. Gail is an awesome bartender. She was training a new guy, I can’t remember his name (sorry) she was patient, very skilled and did it all with a lot of humor. We would revisit this place often if we lived here!”

“I asked in a FB Tiki lounge group what Tiki Bar I should visit and Strong Water was the most recommended. Friendly greetings and when you walk in you’ve stepped into a different world. The ambience and mood is exactly what I hoped for . The drinks were amazing and lots of food options even for those with food allergies. Service is punctual and friendly , they run a tight ship . As with most Tiki bars they are pressed for time which is understandable. Strong water staff is just a couple notches above most places . Not making us feel rushed .As Tiki enthusiasts we’re happy to spend our max time of 2 hours to make space .We’re definitely making this our go to place when we visit OC . Give yourself time for parking to be sorted out if it’s your first time .”

“It was my 2nd time here and I have to be honest… I had a better experience the first time. I came with my girls for a 1pm reservation and upon entry they inform you that there is a 2 hour limit and that our reservation is for 1-3pm Which we completely acknowledged and understood ! No problem! We started off with 3 Velvet Banana, which was amazing! Velvet Banana • COFFEE, BANANAS & SMOOTH! LOST VOYAGE RUM, COCONUT INFUSED RUM, COFFEE LIQUEUR, ESPRESSO, BANANA, WALNUT BITTERS, BANANA WHIP Then we ordered crispy lumpia, fried oysters, hawaiian garlic shrimp and crudo (i think thats what it was called) We were enjoying ourselves Laughing and loving our appetizers and drinks Around 2pm the waitress comes and reminds us that we are almost at our time (Mind you we have until 3pm & we have not exceed the 2 hour maximum) Then we order pineapple colada and Taro colada (Didnt taste any alcohol in it, did not finish the drink as it was all ice and decoration) She comes again around 2:15pm Ordered the tiramisu cake to share When it came, it was very underwhelming Didnt taste like tiramisu at all We took 1 bite each and She comes again around 2:30pm At this point we were not enjoying ourselves anymore. The waitress was disruptive and rude for barging into our table We were very aware our reservation was until 3pm She kept coming to our table and we were already getting annoyed of her Not sure why she needed to remind us of the time 3-4 times in an hour is extremely excessive Anyways we will probably not be returning It was a nice idea But the service made us very uncomfortable”
