“I kept hearing about this place and how awesome it was so my wife and I went on our anniversary to see what the hype was all about and boy it delivered. My wife ordered a really cool wine flight that had a good selection of full bodied and lighter wines. We had the mussels appetizer special and it was super tasty in the broth it came in. Our pasta dishes were outstanding. I had a rigatoni dish and it was probably the best pasta I have had anywhere in HSV. My wife liked her shrimp gnocchi special as well. We capped it off with a delicious limoncello cake that was super light yet decadent and fresh. This is a must-go in HSV let alone for Italian food”
“Hidden jewel. This is one of the best experiences in Huntsville. The food has to be Michelin Star rated. Our server, Patrick, was attentive and gave great selection ideas. Menu, top tier, ambience amazing... loved sitting on the front porch... loved, loved, loved, everything about it. Food and service worth every penny. If you need to celebrate something special, this is the place.”
“Classic location in a beautifully restored historical home. Many segmented dining areas and limited outdoor seating. The staff was incredible. Genuinely friendly and checked up on the table with professional regularly. Great recommendations and fast service. Visiting at lunch time with few customers so the place was mostly ours. The tables were spaced well so I think even at busy times you won't feel crowded. The dishes were definitely a treat. All were impressive and fresh. Not extravagant in plating letting the food speak for itself. The breading on the calamari was amazing. The pasta is homemade. The sweet tea is not to sweet and balanced. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the food and services. I would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area.”
“My boyfriend and I went for an anniversary dinner and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is fun with it being in a historic house but the food stole the show! I usually think that all pasta is the same but this was so different! The ingredients were so fresh and flavors deep. I had the pumpkin ravioli which was one of the specials and it was divine. It was so cozy, I couldn’t ask for more!”
“For the Tapas (appetizer) we had the Carmela’s Meatballs, they were delicious, the Insalata (salad) we had the Baby Arugula & Radicchio Salad, which was also very delicious,. My sister had the Rigatoni Pasta & Guanciali , which is pork cheek pan seared chicken breast, tomato cream sauce, grana padano… the chicken was bland no flavor at all and that whole dish was very tomatoey and that’s all you could taste was the sauce. I had the shrimp scampi over pasta and again there was no flavor, it was jumbo shrimp over house made pasta with what was supposed to be white wine, garlic lemon sauce; however, you couldn’t taste any of those flavors. My sister had the cheese cake for dessert, which was just ok… The presentation of everything was nice and the place and atmosphere was very nice. Oh one more thing, we did have the house made focaccia, which was the onion & rosemary bread it was delicious.”
