“What a pleasant surprise. Few people come to Tahoe for the food, but Sage Leaf made this meal feel like a destination in itself. The burrata appetizer was beautifully composed. The citrusy yuzu jam, perfectly toasted bread, savory prosciutto, and creamy Di Stefano burrata all worked in harmony. Every component felt intentional and contributed to the dish without overwhelming the others. We also loved the Niman Ranch pork chop. The citrus brine kept the meat remarkably tender while giving it a clean, bright flavor. Paired with creamy polenta and perfectly cooked mushrooms, it was both comforting and refined. The house-made pasta was another highlight. It appears to change with the seasons, and this version showcased a thoughtful selection of vegetables that truly felt like “eating the season.” The combination of balsamic and pesto was unexpectedly delicious—the acidity of the balsamic brought out the richness of the Parmesan beautifully. What stood out most was the care behind the food. This is clearly a kitchen that cooks with intention and respect for ingredients. Our server, Brandon, was excellent and made us feel that same level of thoughtfulness throughout the meal. If I could offer one small piece of feedback, it would be that a few dishes seemed to have many ideas competing for attention. A bit more restraint and a clearer focal point might make them even more memorable. Sage Leaf reminded me that great restaurants don’t just serve food—they capture a moment in the season and put it on a plate.”

“Most often than not, when I have breakfast at places I’m visiting, I order the French toast. I love French toast as a breakfast, and I like comparing different places and styles. So when I went to Sage Leaf, it was no different. The moment the Tahoe Blue French Toast arrived, I knew this was going to be different. The presentation alone stood out immediately, thick-cut sourdough slices stacked beautifully, topped with vibrant berries, drizzled sauce, powdered almonds, and perfectly plated like something out of a food magazine. But the taste? Wow. Instead of the usual overly soft French toast, this sourdough version had slightly crisp, caramelized edges with a soft, rich middle that soaked up just the right amount of flavor without becoming soggy. The first bite was honestly unlike any French toast I’ve had before. Sweet, balanced, textured, and insanely satisfying. Definitely worth the price. Holy cow!!!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Experience at Sage Leaf! I had an incredible meal at Sage Leaf Tahoe! The pesto dish was absolutely fantastic—bursting with fresh flavor. I also tried the Sage Leaf Burger, which was a total standout; the fried egg on top and that delicious signature sauce made it one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The atmosphere is wonderful, especially the porch patio, which is the perfect spot to soak up the sun on a warm day. A huge shoutout to our server, Kaitlyn. Even though she’s brand new to the team, she did a fantastic job and provided top-tier service. With such high-quality food and a welcoming vibe, this is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. “First time travelers to Lake Tahoe, and my husband and I are vegan! This place had a delicious Vegan Breakfast Hash that was perfection! It had plant-based chorizo, chickpeas, red onion, mushrooms, spinach, home fries, chipotle-tahini sauce, avocado chimichurri and it was AMAZING! We even added a bowl of the butternut squash soup to share. Highly recommend!!!! The ambiance and service was so great!”
