Osteria Stella is an Italian restaurant in the Old City neighborhood of Knoxville.
“We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a great experience! The service was top notch- and food was outstanding. Our waitress Jade made sure I found a drink that I liked and gave us a tiramisu as a fun happy anniversary gift. We will be highly recommending OS to all of our friends looking to celebrate a special occasion in downtown Knox!!”
“My wife and I spent Valentine’s Day at Osteria Stella, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was intimate and perfect for a date night. She ordered the Lasagne alla Bolognese, and I had the Bistecca di Manzo with a side of Funghi Grigliati — every dish was exceptional and clearly made with care. Our waitress, Jade, was wonderful and recommended fantastic drinks that complemented the meal perfectly. For the quality of the food, service, and ambiance, it’s absolutely worth the price. We’ll definitely be back.”
“Updated- Was there Friday the 13th for my 50th! IT was great again. Loved the birthday card, had Jaid again (so awesome as always), accidentally hugged the hostess as she adjusted our curtains (lol) and a very kind lady (who was also celebrating her birthday, sent a gelato to the table-which was the best-chocolate heaven). AS ALWAYS, Osteria thank you thank you!! (I wish I could leave a hundred stars.) I have a list of places to try in Knoxville, and Osteria Stella was at the top of that list. It was wonderful! My mother and I went yesterday-Sunday, July 27th. We got parked right across the street and entered what was one of the most beautiful, cozy and romantic places to eat, I have seen. Dark luxurious finishes throughout with an added unique floral touch. Masculine meets feminine all working in harmony together. Mismatched (but coordinating) plates and sliver ware made you feel like you were at some long time Italian eatery. It is romantic but I could also see myself eating there alone and enjoying it. We had service from a wonderful young lady named Jaid. She helped us make some decisions and her recommendations were perfect for us. The entire meal, start to finish, was spaced perfectly and the food was wonderful! The Osso buco dish we had was just fall apart tender and flavorful and our cocktails were perfect. The food is done with the utmost care, you can tell. The quality of flavor means they have a chef (or two) in the kitchen who are paying attention to the quality. The size of the portions was also quite generous. We had a starter, a salad, two mains, and three desserts (while the tiramisu was wonderful, the cannoli were incredible) and cocktails. All of it was priced well. We have paid far more for less (in flavor and service) at other places. Osteria Stella will always be a place I will think about and hope to return to someday. Thank you!”
“We celebrated our 10th anniversary at Osteria Stella in Knoxville, TN, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special, even surprising us with a beautifully signed card from the team and a glass of prosecco to toast the occasion. The food was absolutely outstanding! Each dish was crafted with care, bursting with flavor, and plated with perfection. You could tell the chefs put their heart into every bite. We had two appetizers becsuse we couldnt choose, and wish we could have tried them all! The service was impeccable as well; attentive without being intrusive, making us feel cared for the entire evening. Osteria Stella is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. The combination of delicious food, thoughtful staff, and incredible ambiance created the perfect setting for our milestone celebration. We left with full hearts (and bellies!) and will treasure the memory forever. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Knoxville!”
“I was too generous with my first review (deleted). I think I was blinded by the exciting promise of what seemed like an elevated, authentic, and delicious experience and the one semi tasty thing on the menu… the mussels, which are no longer on the menu because they have changed the menu every time I go(👀). The service is okay and the food is bland which is upsetting for the price tag. Their house salad could’ve just been a lemon on a plate and I wouldn’t have noticed a difference. The presentation is nice. There’s so much potential here but potential isn’t enough. I think three opportunities is enough to know I’m not going back to be disappointed again. If you decide to try it out, make sure you don’t eat at all before you go. It’s best to arrive hungry so you will actually want to eat what’s being served and get your money’s worth.”
