“Excellent ambience, enchanting lighting and delicious Italian fare. Osteria 57 was perfect for our girlfriend’s birthday dinner, but it would also be lovely for a family meal or romantic date. Definitely recommend the crusty bread with burrata and the Cacio e Pepe, which was heavenly. I ordered the Gnudi, which wasn’t my favorite dish (almost like matzo ball shape without a ton of flavor and lacking the traditional gnocchi shape & bite) but thankfully, I housed my sister’s Cacio e Pepe. The chef seems to love asparagus as it appears in many dishes! Friendly service and lovely place to break bread with loved ones. Pro Tips: - Make a reservation - Order at least one bowl of the Cacio e Pepe - Savor the homemade bread and olive oil”

“Really enjoyed our cozy dinner here. It was a last minute decision to come to Greenwich Village to find food and we met someone on the sidewalk on Christopher St who suggested this fine little spot for a romantic dinner where we could relax and hear each other talk. So many NY restaurants are impossible loud, especially on the weekend. They have fresh handmade gluten free pasta as well for my Bolognese di Mare. Our appetizer of beets and goat cheese was decadent.”

“Ohhhhh myyyy Gooooooodddd The gnocchi funghi e tartufo 🫠 What can I say? There are no words. Only dreams and flash backs and hopes of returning to experience this delightful meal one more time. The restaurant vibe is awesome, service was great. Even though it was super super busy, the waiters were still available and friendly. The cocktails are really good.”

“Osteria 57 menu has so many delicious options. I was quite impressed with their sides. The fingerling potatoes and the carrots are not your average. How they are dressed is perfect and unique. The ravioli stuffed with ricotta and peas was so yummy. It was a special but I think it deserves to be on the main menu. I’m not a big fan of scallops but these were doused in such a yummy sauce however I was disappointed they were miniature and only four. The linguine vongole was good, nothing to write home about, did the job. The drinks were delicious as well and the branzino was perfect. It’s advertised to share for 2 but we split it among 4 and there was enough to go around. Can’t wait to dine here again and recommending to friends for sure.”

We booked a reservation for a group of 10-15 people after work on a Monday, and they accommodated us well, even rearranging furniture to seat us all in one room. The service was attentive, and the cocktails were truly exceptional—some of the best I’ve had in a while. They were so smooth that you only realize how strong they are when you stand up! However, the food left something to be desired. Despite the pasta being homemade, it tasted quite plain and didn’t stand out. The one dish that did impress me was the truffle ricotta, which was a delicious appetizer worth trying. In terms of pricing, it’s in line with the area—cocktails around $20 and main dishes about $30. Overall, it’s a great spot for drinks and a cozy atmosphere, but the food may not leave a lasting impression.”
