“I really enjoyed the food here. I had a swordfish steak that was phenomenal and my girlfriend had the seared scallops which again were really good. We had the appetizer nachos which were way better than I expected and my only complaint was I wanted more of them. The Espresso Martini she had was delicious, she claims it's the best in MD, as was my whiskey flight. We may have spent more than the normal cause it was a special occasion so the price could be less if you are just there to eat. I thought the service was also great and our waitress knew the menu well. 10 out of 10 would recommend.”

The coffee is very good too, hot and strong. * Mixed alcohol drinks are well made and worth ordering if you want a cocktail. Pretty decor gives the place a nice atmosphere without trying too hard. Solid food, good drinks, nice vibe.”

“The tuna poke nachos Are arguably one of the best if not, the best appetizer that you could purchase in all of Southern Maryland. My wife and I went here for our anniversary Every single flavor is perfectly balanced, Complementary textures, Every dish flawlessly cooked. Chef: It’s very easy to tell that the chef is not only a master of his craft, but truly loves the art and joy of cooking. Every dish was immaculate. My wife had the pan seared duck and I had the chicken piccata. Both were incredibly original, robust, flavorful takes on these classics. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is trendy, cool and romantic. It’s like having a little taste of DC located in the heart of Leonardtown. Service: Our server Sofia was Incredibly attentive, friendly, charismatic, almost psychic in the way she interacted with us. Her timing on everything was perfect. It wasn’t possible to drink the waters to the bottom of the glass. Everything about this place is pristine. This is what A fine dining experience should be - inspired food, atmosphere and no pretension. It’s amazing to have a place like this in Southern Maryland.”

“We had such an amazing experience at Sweetbay Restaurant & Bar! The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the stuffed mushrooms — 10/10. Then the Caesar salad with added chicken — again 10/10. And the burger… oh my goodness… another 10/10. Every single bite was incredible. What truly made the night even better was our WONDERFUL waiter, Kenny. He was attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot on and he made sure we had everything we needed without ever missing a beat. We loved every part of our visit and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!”

“Would love if this establishment improved its reservation / wait list because it is inconsistent. When they say their availability is full they really mean they’re waiting on people to make reservations. I saw a handful of tables that were available and prepped. When I was turned away at the door, the hostess saying they had no availability that evening, I immediately went on my phone and made a reservation for 15 minutes later. What do you know, my group goes in and is promptly seated. Make your hosts aware that more people equals more business and perhaps, good tips. As food goes, Sweetbay does a solid job. Their salads are fantastic. The proportions (take-out) left me wanting a little more. The only burger on the menu was under seasoned and not made to the doneness I’d asked for. Before I go again I might consider elsewhere for some more affordable fare, however, they deserve a once over. Maybe they’ll deliver, maybe they won’t.”
