“We went there for the first time Dine LA. Food is amazing! Highly recommend their dry aged steak and hash browns(sounds weird, but it amazingly fun and delicious). Best steak I ever had. Will definitely go back there again.”
“Ate at American Beauty at The Grove on Sunday and had such a solid meal. We started with the Stuffed Hash Brown and Warm Sticky Bun since we’d had them before and loved them—still just as good. For mains, we ordered the Charred Chicken Bánh Mì and the Iowa Co-op Teres Major steak. The Bánh Mì had a really nice balance of sweet and spicy, with well-seasoned chicken on a bun that had a light crunch on the outside, plus house-made ruffle chips on the side. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and came with a generous pile of crispy shoestring fries. Definitely a place we’d go back to. Pics attached if you want to check it out.”
“The older I am, the closer I wanna reach. A lot of times, we think good thing is far. But for LA, especially my area, it is so easy and close to reach so many nice places and it has been a renewal constantly. Like this one, it was opened in 2024. Great location, I don’t even notice before. Food is ok. Not my type though. But great location and nice spot at The Grove. I like the patio and its spaciousness. After dining, just walk around to look here and there. No long drive, no hustle, slow and good time.”
“Beautiful restaurant at the Grove that I was very excited to try, but ultimately left disappointed with my experience. The steaks were delicious and definitely the highlight of the entire meal, which was to be expected, but the sides were a different story. 3 of us got the Mac and cheese, and we all thought it was gross, didn’t finish it or take it home. A friend got the carrots and didn’t like those either. The lobster tail and grilled broccolini were good, grilled flatbread was decent as well. Another high point was the molten chocolate lava cake with peanut butter which we loved. The waitress was great but tried too hard to upsell. Overall, I thought it was overpriced for what we got, and I’m still shocked by how terrible the mac and cheese was, which I feel like is a pretty hard thing to not get right. I’ll probably stick to the burgers at The Win~dow.”
“I don't really leave bad reviews but this restaurant was special. We understand it was valentine's day, one of their busiest, but we really did give a lot of grace. It started with them sitting us and the hostess said it'll be worth the wait (it was not) and our waitress didn't take our drink order until after 20 mins. When she finally came, we ordered our appetizers and drinks which didn't come for another 20 mins. We were sat right in front of the door where it's freezing so we asked if they can close it to which our waitress said she'll ask the manager if they can close it since there are also people outdoors (she never asked. We waited and shivered for 10 mins.) My husband was fed up so he went to find a different table and asked our waitress if we can switch and she said yes, which she could've offered in the first place. After getting our appetizer we waited for about 15 mins for them to tell us the Mac and cheese were out for the night. So we had to order different sides which made our wait even longer. When our food finally arrived, my husband was given the wrong dish, my steak was room temperature and was rare (I ordered it medium.) When his steak finally came, it was raw so he had to send it back which took another 10 mins. At this point we were over it and asked for the check and boxes. Boxes and check came before our desserts so we just asked for the desserts to go. We look at our receipt and there was a "happy and healthy" surcharge of 3% on top of our $271 bill. Will never come back for sure. It seems they spent majority of their budget on aesthetics rather than flavor.”
