“Margot is one of the most beautiful rooftop spots in Culver City. The atmosphere is stylish, relaxing, and perfect for unwinding with friends or enjoying a drink while taking in the view. The food was delicious, the cocktails were well made, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Everything felt thoughtfully curated, from the ambiance to the menu. If you’re looking for a place to relax, enjoy great food and drinks, and spend time on a beautiful rooftop, Margot is definitely worth a visit. A perfect spot to chill and soak in the Culver City vibe.”
“Had a delightful time at Margot. We got there around 11:30am during the rainy week in LA. Place is beautifully decorated. It feels kinda like an Anthropologie-like vibe. We loved it. We sat in the corner by all the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the tram (whatever it’s called) Service was attentive and he made solid recommendations. We ordered the Oatmeal Pancakes, the potato things (forgot the name but it looked like mini potatoes pancakes) Beet and Burrata salad and the Chicken Caesar salad. All of it was portioned well and tasted wonderful to us. It was just the right amount of food with no leftovers. There were 3 of us. The bar looks super and was getting much busier as we were leaving (12:45pm-ish) Valet was convenient, since the parking isn’t that easy. At least for us it was challenging to find a close spot. Will be back to check out the evening vibes.”
“Nice place for a date night. Fancy. Indoor and outdoor seating on the roof. Views are of Culver City buildings & the metro train, not a garden, but it was still nice. Salad "small plate" starter was plenty to share for an appetizer. Pasta main dish was also a good size. The salmon main course was a bit small, but as expected for a fancy place. The drinks were fabulous . Have vegetarian items if you eat dairy/eggs/ pasta, but not too many vegan items.”
“Had a solid meal here with the family. Good vibes, great service, and the cocktails were excellent. After having brunch I'm interested in coming back to try the dinner menu.”
“This restaurant was great when it first opened, but now feels stale and old. It took about 15 minutes for a Server to come and greet me. I almost had to go get my own drinks. The Server was pretty much missing for a lot of the time we had to flag him down. So service was really not great. There was no one at the front desk to greet us when we first got there. Tropical margarita we got was horrible. Either the juice was bad or it was just a bad drink and in general the food was not great. There were some things better than others, but I can't say I would recommend this restaurant to anyone the view outside is nice so maybe go on a nice beautiful day or evening but it seems like they need a new chef and new management and to change things up a bit and definitely need to retrain the servers and hostesses. It's a bit sad to see from when it first opened the bartender also seemed disconcerting the place closed early because it was super slow. They don't carry top-of-the-line tequila and their wine selection is not great. The pasta with clams I would definitely skip and not get again not great. The regular spaghetti they have and a tomato sauce is nothing to write home about. Sad to see, but this seems like a restaurant that is fading away and probably gonna go out of business but time will tell. Maybe they'll get their act together.”
