“We celebrated my son's 21st birthday tonight. Everything from start to finish was A+. Our server, Eve, was so attentive and offered all the recommendations for what to order and he did not disappoint. The artichoke appetizer was simply orgasmic. Full stop. Bolognese was perfection and the pizza, of course, was impeccable. Also, best Caesar Salad ever. I cannot praise this place enough. Thank you, Eve, for all the recommendations both for food and all fun places for my son to visit while in town celebrating his special day. I truly hope to return someday.”
“A very unassuming spot but so delish! Came for their Happy Hour specials. Ordered a couple appetizers and one main dish to share and it was plenty of food between my friend & I. Everything we had was on point with exception to the Carciofi Arrostiti (an artichoke dish). My friend said she's had it before it was more flavorful. A a first timer on that dish I was kinda like ehh. Not sure I would order again but that could be more of not a big artichoke fan. Caprese di Bufala was so fresh and light, Polpette al Forno (meatballs with sauce & bread) 😋😋😋, and Cavolfiore (Pandora crusted cauliflower) the best cauliflower I've ever had. A quite different take and the sauce that is comes with is so friggin' yummy! And dont forget about generous squeeze of the lemon over everything. It adds a little something to each bite. Ordered the Pappardellle to share but we were sooo full we had 2 bites, which were heavenly, and took the rest home for leftovers. All in all very happy my friend introduced me to this place.”
“Environment ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Located between two buildings, the space feels a bit tight and slightly crowded. Still enjoyable, but not the most spacious setup. Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ • Meatballs + Bread ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent. The bread was thick-cut sourdough and incredibly good. • Pizza (Margherita + Prosciutto) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very well done. Classic Italian thin-crust style—light, balanced, and satisfying. Will I come back? Yes”
“Pizzana on San Vicente is like the friend who always looks great in photos but never quite makes you say “wow” in person. The pizza’s solid — light crust, good sauce, fun specials — but it won’t change your life. It’s a chain now, so the vibe’s more “LA polished” than “hidden gem.” Still, it’s a reliable choice for a nice pizza night, just not the kind that leaves you dreaming about it later.”
“The food was good, the pizzas and the salad. We got the Diavola, Cacio e Pepe (Pepperoni version) and Funghi the three most popular pizzas and can see why. Also the Tricolore Salad was simply amazing. We felt like we needed one more green so we got the broccolini, which we loved as much as the pizza! The whipped ricotta and the calabrian chili oil (which it taking over like Sriracha once did) elevated this simple side dish into a beloved appetizer. We had an amazing server, CiCi, who was so patient with us, informative, courteous and just pleasant and amazing overall! They renovated an alleyway but didnt feel tight at all and we ordering 3 pizzas, we were grateful for those stackable pizza server. I appreciated that they are doing deals and promotions and sign ups to be part of the community and your neighborhood spot.”
