Deserto Pizzeria West is a Pizza restaurant in the El Paso neighborhood of El Paso.
“I'm very happy to find a solid pizza joint in my neighborhood. I can't believe it took me two years to notice it (that's how long they've been on the west side). First, these are wood fired Napoli style pizzas. If you don't know what that is, look it up before you write a bad review complaining about how thin the crust is. The crust and the dough are very well executed and true to the style. This is not Pizza Hut. The menu is short, as it should be. They do a few apps and a few mains and they do them very well. While this is a pizza joint, it's apps easily qualify as upscale cuisine without the upscale prices you'd pay downtown for the same thing. I'm looking forward to trying some of their buratta apps on my next visit. The table next to me raved about them. I went simple and had the "Roni" pizza and marinated olives app. I would love it if they started stocking Cabernet Sauvignon. Goes good with a pizza. The "Anton Ego" review is hilarious, but I challenge Ego to name a better Napoletan pizza in town.”
“I just hosted a Moms Night Out and the service was incredible. The moms kept mentioning how authentic their food was. The owner mention that we should bring our kids next time! This restaurant is created by great people with a good heart and you can not beat that! I plan on bringing my husband and son back.”
“This place is great! The food was delicious and family friendly. I was able to bring my infant with my group of friends and I felt so comfortable! Service was amazing and attentive. My drink never was empty. I recommend the neo pesto pizza as well as the Fresh Caprese Di Burrata. These were amazing and hit the spot. I also want to thank the owner, Brooke, for being so inviting and taking care my friends and I. Definitely will have to come back.”
“You guys, Why isn't this place packed tonight, and EVERY NIGHT. I am flaberghasted. This food is so good! It's like Home. It's like who knew that simple Italian with love is still the best in the world...well, for sure in Italy and El Paso.😉😘 Honestly, I have not one complaint. Pizza Oven is right there for entertainment, and Spaghettia Sauce is SO RIGHT! Plus their portions are so divine!...Lol Also, They make REAL BREAD, that you have to chew like our ancestors did for thousands of years before we came along with soggy dead white bread that killed our digestive system. It's like a little corner of Italy in El Paso. I'm a Poor Italian Child, so I know what I'm talkin here! Oh, and they have Serrano Peppers like in the kitchen on hand if you're like me that loves spicy hot! Anyone who knows what Good Italian Food is won't be disappointed at all. This isn't cuisine...It's Mom & Pop, One Stop Shop kinda thing.”
“Deserto Palo Verde is such a vibe — minimalistic, warm, and effortlessly cool. The decor is simple and clean with that understated desert aesthetic, and the open wood-fired oven adds the perfect touch of cozy ambiance. You can actually watch the chef working the pizzas, which gives the place that authentic, craft feel. It’s definitely not your typical pizza joint — think elevated, intentional, and beautifully done from start to finish. The menu impressed me with how many vegan options they had (love to see it!). The charred broccolini was delicious, and I tried the Funghi Carnitas pizza with red sauce, vegan cheese, and pickled onions — a combo I’d never had before, but it totally worked. Every bite was flavorful, balanced, and just the right amount of indulgent. This spot is the perfect mix of casual and elevated — chill enough for a low-key night out, but refined enough to feel special. I’d absolutely go back.”
