SaZa Serious Italian Food is an Italian restaurant in the Town Madison neighborhood of Madison.
“Ordered a house salad with a slice of meat lovers. Salad was of impressive size hand chopped toppings and raspberry vinaigrette was great! The pizza was super thin crust with plenty of fresh ingredients. It was very tasty and filling. Highly recommend the food. Ceritha was super attentive and friendly! I highly recommend this establishment.”
“SaZa was seriously good! We went at Lunch and there was plenty of seating. The building was nice and there was LOTS of room outside for both waiting and dining. Our server was really great. He was chill but friendly. The prices for lunch were good considering the amount of food we received! We started with their garlic "styx". They were kind of light and fluffy like focaccia bread with garlic. My husband wanted to see how their pizza was - and he LOVED it. You can choose any of the toppings if you order a slice which we thought was great considering most "by-the-slice" pizza is chosen from what is already prepared. Anyway he ordered the spicy sausage (which he said was just right- not too spicy) along with pepperoni. The pepperoni was larger than regular pepperoni too. Anyway my husband ate the whole slice and was very happy. The slice came with a small salad but it was not small at all. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. 2 big meatballs and lots of piping hot spaghetti. A big portion worthy of its price. Our server was quick on refilling our drinks before we even had to ask. The atmosphere was upscale enough for a quick Italian. I wish there were booths but I totally get why it's just tables. Easy up keep means better prices. We will definitely be back and recommend everybody give SaZa a visit. There is more space upstairs (we saw a large group come down after eating) but we didn't actually see it. I wonder if SaZa would allow a group to reserve part of the outside area for a private event? It would be perfect for a group dinner!”
“Party of 7, we all got different dishes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. 5 of us had enough for leftovers too. We went on a Friday night around 7pm-ish and we were worried about a wait, we only waited 5 minutes for them to put a table together. They had a special called Chicken Louisiana, it was EXCELLENT. It might be one of the best Italian dishes Ive had, second to Adolfos in NOLA.”
“Cute little spot, was pretty busy Friday night before Valentine's Day and service was still fantastic. Valentine's Day specials available on top of their regular menu. We used Resy for a seamless reservation experience. Calamari was good, tender, and came out fast. The sun dried tomato aioli was delicious and I kept it to dip the fries in later. Meatball Hero was under the category of Huge Sandwiches. It wasn't huge, but it was plenty especially after the calamari. It was tasty and the bread made it so much better. We did wish we kept the marinara to dip it in though. I debated heavily on the Sunday Sauce, it seemed like a lot. I went for it anyway and knew I was going to be taking some of it home. It did not disappoint. So good. The flavors were fantastic together, the rigatoni had good texture, and the lamb was tender. The only part that fell a bit short was the meatball was cool on the inside. I've got enough leftover for 2 lunches. The meal was a bit on the expensive side but you are definitely getting the value that you are paying for. The quality, quantity, and service are all top notch. I highly recommend this place for a good date night that you don't have to dress up for.”
“I went with a few friends and really enjoyed my experience. We got a few appatizers that were all delicious. The calamari was done right. Not chewy at all (really tough to find) and I thought the stuffed peppers had a lot of flavor. I got the manacoti as an entree and it was really good. (Really can't go wrong with sauce and cheese though.) Service was good. A little slow but not really a big deal. Beer was cold. Small selection but that's usually to be expected.”
