Pazza Notte is an Italian restaurant in the Midtown Sacramento neighborhood of Sacramento.
“Took my friend here for his birthday and had a really great time overall. We started with martinis, I got the Sicilian and he got the Thinker, and both were fantastic. The extra they pour into the shaker on the side essentially makes it 2.5 drinks, which is a very generous touch. The calamari was a great choice to share: a big serving and delicious. For dinner we went with the tagliata di manzo and the east side pizza. The steak was tender and flavorful, but the real standout was the salad that came alongside it, genuinely one of the best bites of the night and something I'll 100% be coming back for. The pizza was decent but not something I'd order again. Our waiter was attentive and did a great job spacing out our courses, which was especially appreciated since the patio table is on the smaller side. The patio itself has a lot of charm, though the flies were relentless and made it hard to enjoy the outdoor setting, next time I'd opt to sit inside. Overall a solid spot with some real standout moments. The martinis and that tagliata salad alone are worth a return visit.”
“Finally got the chance to come with a friend for lunch after strolling around the farmer’s market. This restaurant is beautiful inside and out, has bar seating, tables, and a spacious patio underneath lovely midtown trees. The inside is super bright, lots of decor on the walls, flowers everywhere, and the energy was great. We came on an early Saturday afternoon with no reservation but were seated after 20 minutes. Even then, the restaurant was packed! I would definitely recommend getting a reservation if you plan to come later in the evening and/or have a large group with you (it was only two of us). I decided to order the soup of the day, which I believe was a squash/butternut squash soup, Parmesan and truffle fries, and my friend ordered the truffle macaroni and cheese with the “the hipster” cocktail. They also brought complimentary rosemary bread and oil. The bread was soft, the cocktail was great and very decent portion, the soup was perfectly balanced and went great with the toasted bread. The fries were a little cold but tasty and came with garlic aioli and ketchup. My friend said her macaroni and cheese was yummy and she would order again. The menu is full of options and we will definitely be back to try more things. Must come if wanting either a romantic night out or a lovely dinner with friends!”
“Pazza Notte is clearly a very popular spot in Midtown. The night I went, it was packed and lively, with a DJ playing music and a fun, energetic atmosphere. I sat at the bar and had a great experience overall. I ordered a martini, penne à la vodka, and a Caesar salad. The martini was excellent, and the pasta was absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Easily the standout of the meal. The Caesar salad, however, missed the mark for me. It didn’t taste like a traditional Caesar dressing at all and came across more like a watered-down buttermilk dressing. I’d love to see them improve or rethink that dressing because the rest of the food was so strong. The waitstaff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and clearly handling a busy crowd with ease. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, which adds to the appeal. Overall, great vibes, great drinks, and fantastic pasta. I’d definitely return—just skipping the Caesar next time.”
“The food was okay overall, but I really loved the crispy calamari appetizer! The portion was generous for the price and definitely worth ordering. The overall experience was pleasant, but the service could have been better. At the beginning, a female server was very attentive and checked on us regularly. However, after her shift ended, our server was a male employee who rarely checked on our table. We waited quite a while for assistance, and I even had to ask another server for help when I wanted to request a birthday ice cream. Overall, we had a nice time.”
“Pazza Notte offers a delightful dining experience from the bar. I indulged in their pasta, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The sauce was rich and complemented the dish wonderfully. Paired with a refreshing French 75, the cocktail was elegantly crafted, balancing the citrus and gin beautifully. The atmosphere at the bar was lively, with attentive staff adding to the charm. The combination of delicious food and great drinks makes Pazza Notte a must-visit for a casual yet satisfying meal. Recommended! Only complaint is I was charged regularly price for Happy Hour drinks, but I wasn't in the mood to address it.”
