Welcome to Lucia — our neighborhood fatto a mano pasta bar nestled in Savannah’s Starland District. Pull up a seat at our ringside pasta bar and hang with our chefs and bartenders, or kick back in our Art Deco dining room, lovingly restored to its 1930s charm. From Neapolitan pizza and tender octopus to hand-crafted pasta and Negronis on draft — all paired with a 100% Italian-focused wine list — we’ve got you covered. Let’s talk Yankees baseball, debate whether The Godfather Part II is actually overrated, or just share good food and better conversation. Whatever brings you in, we can’t wait to welcome you to Lucia
“Pasta eccellente!!! Makes me feel like I'm back in Italy. Beet pasta was on point and the patio dining is beautiful. Our amazing server Hannah said we need to come back for the pizza and I agree -- PS it's the same owner as the Victora in Starland so we already know it's going to be good!!!”
“As a chef, former New Yorker, and *real* Italian food snob, I will definitely come back here. I really appreciate the attention to detail - even the bathroom candle was nice. We had the octopus (top recommendation), clams, and asparagus as apps, the agnolotti and squid ink bucatini as entrees, and both types of cannoli for dessert. All were tasty and nicely presented. Drinks and service were also above average.”
“TLDR: OMG what an incredible dining experience! Make sure you get a reservation, the food and drinks are incredible! So a few months ago we tried to walk in to Lucia and unfortunately didn’t have a reservation and didn’t want to wait for a spot. So this week I made a reservation and was so glad I did! When we got there everyone was friendly and seated us right away. The dining space is cozy and a little loud due to it being an all concrete room (could benefit from some sound panels on the ceiling). Shay our server was absolutely amazing! We started off with Wine and the Vesuvio (I love unique cocktails) it was amazing with just a hint of spice on your palette. As we do with most new resturants we go to we ordered an offensive amount of food for 2 people. Drinks- Vesuvio was like a slightly spicy margarita it was so good! Brooklyn almost manhattan style spirit forward excellently crafted. Capri was so refreshing and balanced. A great drink to sit on the porch and enjoy. Starters- Romaine Lettuce was so simple and delicious! A great shareable portion for 4. Potato Foccacia when I say everyone’s eyes widened when this massive loaf made it to the table we aren’t kidding! It’s enough for 8 by itself! We took 3/4 of it home. (Offering a half order would be great.) Octopus & Potato was a standout for me! I hate seafood (I try it all the time to see if my palette has grown up yet at the ripe age of 38, it hasn’t) and this was wonderful. The tentacles were charred with a sauce that I wanted to drink from the bowl it was so good. Arancino was awesome! A classic simple dish that was knocked out of the park! Mains Tortelloni was delicious! A flavorful dish with beautifully made pasta cooked perfect with a killer sauce. Diavola Pizza so good! It had a nice spice but not overwhelming. Grandma Jacovino “Steak Pizzaiolo” this was an unexpected highlight. I’m a rare steak person and while this was on the medium well/well side it was so flavorful and so delicious. I would get a pasta with it and share the dishes, the steak is huge! Dessert Affogato the gelato this time was butter pecan (normally my least favorite flavor) was absolutely amazing! I loved everything about it!”
“Lucia Pasta Bar is an absolute gem in Savannah. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful and truly phenomenal from start to finish. The cocktails were expertly crafted and perfectly balanced, setting the tone for an unforgettable meal. We started with the romaine lettuce salad, arancino, and the octopus with potato, and every bite was flawless. The octopus was especially memorable—tender, beautifully cooked, and packed with flavor. For mains, the Diavolo pizza brought just the right amount of heat, the tortelloni was rich and comforting with incredible depth, and the alla plancha steak was cooked to perfection; it was bold, savory, and indulgent without being heavy. Dessert sealed the deal with an affogato that was simple, elegant, and executed perfectly, the ideal ending to an outstanding meal. Lucia Pasta Bar delivers on every level: food, cocktails, and service. A must-visit for anyone in Savannah looking for elevated Italian done right.”
“The food, atmosphere, and service are all great at Lucia. My bartender, Ashley, was genuinely fantastic and gave an endless stream of great service and recommendations to me and everyone else sitting at the bar around me. I had the Bolognese, a cannoli, and the mango sorbet. The only thing that I could nitpick is that I think the portion size for the pasta was a bit small. Other than that, if you’re looking for genuinely elevated, intentionally crafted Italian cuisine with great service, this is the spot.”
