Town 220 is a Steakhouse restaurant in the Madison neighborhood of Madison.
“Our server, Christian, made the evening very enjoyable. He gave great recommendations for drinks, appetizers, salads, entrees, and deserts. Everything was perfect, and the venue is wonderful. The cioppino, salmon, and chipotle shrimp were all delicious entrees. The smoked old fashioned was one of the best I can remember. The chocolate bread pudding is so good I am going to find a recipe to make it myself.”
“Town 220 is a hidden gem in a small town. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the truffle fries were deliciously truffled! 😋 the drinks are quite strong as well. I really enjoyed my meal here with my friend!”
“Beautiful space, great staff, outdoor patio...perfect for events and family get-togethers. Very elegant and impressive restaurant that executes an old school menu with flair. Focused seasonal (smaller) menus with the new upscale Southern theme that embraces Charleston and Savannah's restaurant. scenes would kill in this town. But what they do, they do very well. Salmon carpaccio is my wife's favorite, the tuna app has a fiery wasabi, hot sweet ginger and a miso that just works. The cioppino tomato broth is luxurious and studded with bright fresh seafood. The orange sauce on the duck is not a cloying syrup but light and flavorful. The menu could use a refresh, but if it ain't broke 🤔...? Full, disclosure...We love the owner!”
“We have been coming here for 4+ years and the food never disappoints….. Until last night! We got home and were so bummed out. The steak wasn’t as good as it usually is. It was very dry and the vegetables were also dry and cold. We got the caramel cake for dessert and it kinda tasted like it had been in Tupperware. And to spend $191 for dinner. Maybe we will give it another chance in the future but now to recoup the $191. If the food would have been good then we wouldn’t feel bad but it just wasn’t last night!”
“This was our go to for a fancy meal out but we haven’t been in a while. We took our mom for Mother’s Day because they do reservations. That part went smoothly. However, our food was a huge disappointment. The steaks are NOT what they use to be. Every one of ours was way overcooked. They use to be thick and juicy but these were half the size and well done. (Not what we ordered) Two of us got chicken parm and we were actually concerned with the texture. Not sure why but the chicken was rubbery. :( For what you pay here, you would expect excellent food and it just wasn’t happening. I added $15 shrimp to my salad and didn’t get it until after I had already eaten my salad. It was just a lot that went wrong with this meal. Something has definitely changed and we won’t be back. Positive: the atmosphere is nice.”
