From the masterminds behind Mandolin Aegean Bistro, The Drexel is a sophisticated yet quaint, modern Mediterranean restaurant in Miami Beach. Named after the iconic street and built on the corner of a historical 1920’s village, The Drexel will transport you to the bygone era of Miami Beach. The Drexel team is comprised of industry veterans who have brought their passion to the table, creating a restaurant for locals, by locals. Chef Nano Crespo has mastered a rustic, straight forward cooking style which he continues at his new home with the founders behind Mandolin. Offering clean flavors from the charcoal grill and wood oven, the menu includes housemade pasta and pizza with a heavy emphasis on locally sourced seafood and an entire section dedicated to vegetable dishes. The menu also pairs well with our well curated cocktail list and rare boutique wines.
“Immaculate restaurant - we stopped by at 7pm on a Saturday and it was starting to get busy. Service was attentive and quick. Food came quickly and the margarita pizza and crispy polenta was delicious and simple. Outdoor seating is lovely.”
“We loved our dining experience with the Drexel. We celebrated our anniversary there and had the recommended ribeye and sides and it was amazing! We also had a few cocktail hours here and each time the staff were warm and welcoming. Martina was an amazing server and we enjoyed having her take care of us while we dined.”
“Upscale restaurant connected to a Michelin rated hotel. It’s in the Art Deco area of South Beach. We saw a number of fine restaurants but we chose this one because it was quieter. Their menu advertised the branzino as whole, and it was before they cooked it. Regardless of the semantics it was absolutely delicious although slightly over spiced which hid the flavors of the delicious fish. We started with an amazing grilled octopus that was tender and flavorful. My wife had the hangar steak cooked to a perfect medium rare. We paid over $300 for our meal with drinks. It was worth it even if the service level didn’t quite match the exquisite meal. Everybody was polite and helpful just need a little training in how to serve high end dining.”
“The atmosphere was amazing, the food made us remember our childhood, being at grandma’s home. It was delicious. We tried the Porchetta and it was out of this world. The service was superb and Bianca had the greatest knowledge and connected very well. Also wanted to mention a great welcoming by Sarah. We will definitely come back. Kudos for the chef Jarrod.”
