“An extraordinary two star experience with a phenomenal cocktail pairing We had the pleasure of dining at Delta, and it is completely understandable why they hold two Michelin stars. It was a truly extraordinary experience from start to finish. The food not only tasted fantastic but was also visually stunning and highly exciting. The menu was beautifully playful, with dishes constantly masquerading as something else, which created a wonderful element of surprise throughout the evening. I opted for the cocktail pairing, which I was initially a bit nervous about, as I am usually quite picky with drinks. However, it was absolutely amazing. They managed to prepare spirits that I normally dislike in a way that made them taste incredible. The pairing itself was phenomenal, in my opinion even better than the wine pairing, and it was deeply fascinating to experience how the cocktails enhanced and altered the impression of the food. The surroundings are lavish and an experience in themselves, featuring impressive trees hanging from the ceiling and a beautiful view of the sea. The service was impeccable, with the entire meal perfectly timed and choreographed. Even though the execution was highly polished, the waiters did an excellent job of creating a warm atmosphere, making us feel completely comfortable and welcome. A world class experience that we highly recommend.”
“Delta was one of the most creative and immersive dinning experiences I’ve ever had. I came with my family and the staff were so kind, informative, and knowledgeable. The evening felt special straight from the start with the incredible location and design of the restaurant. While you’re dining at Delta you’re truly eating art. The creativity that’s on display is staggering. I can’t stop thinking about the sourdough course and the fish of the day course. The fish was slow cooked for 6 hours and was the most buttery light seafood I’ve ever had. The sourdough dish with truffle sauce is still on my mind. Looking back at the photos of the night and reading through the menu I find myself itching to go back. I’m so glad we went to Delta, it was a special highlight of our trip to Greece and I didn’t want the night to end. I would highly recommend Delta to anyone visiting Athens.”
“Amazing combination of flavors and textures in an inventive 12-course menu where each plate was a nice surprise. The flavorful bread that looked like porcini mushroom accompanied by bone marrow sauce was probably our preferred dish. Excellent use of fermented materials provided additional umami. All staff were very professional yet friendly and the suggestions of the sommelier also excellent. Well worth the reputation and the two Michelin stars.”
“We had dinner at Delta Restaurant and overall I’d say it was good. The service was solid and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, but it didn’t feel especially memorable or above and beyond. Same with the space itself — it’s modern and nice, but I personally didn’t find it as breathtaking as I expected based on the hype. Maybe it's because it was so light out when we were there. I felt like we were in the lobby of an office building The food was definitely well executed and absolutely beautifully. Each course is truly a work of art and I love the creative presentation. Unfortunately we felt many of the dishes felt more visually creative than exciting flavor-wise. I kept waiting for that one course that made me stop and think “wow,” and it never really happened. Let me be clear - everything was balanced and good, just not particularly mind blowing. Overall, I’m glad we tried it because the experience itself was nice, but for the price and reputation, I left wanting a little more from the food.”
“We chose Delta in Athens to celebrate our anniversary, and the evening began on a truly high note. Our table overlooked the Mediterranean, setting the tone for what felt like a special, thoughtfully curated experience from the start. The cuisine was imaginative and beautifully executed—each dish felt whimsical, artistic, and deeply rooted in local Greek ingredients. The wine pairings complemented the menu exceptionally well. My standout dish was the picanha with caviar—an absolute chef’s kiss. Paired with the mesmerizing sunset over the Mediterranean, it created a memorable and romantic atmosphere. Service early on was equally impressive, with strong attention to detail—servers consistently folded our napkins when we stepped away and attentively reseated us upon return. Unfortunately, the experience unraveled toward the end of the meal. An accident occurred when our first dessert course was dropped, which we completely understood—these things happen. However, what followed was a noticeable decline in service. The staff appeared flustered, likely due to timing pressures with the next seating, but the level of attentiveness dropped significantly. When my partner returned from the restroom, her napkin was not reset and no one assisted with her chair—details that had been handled seamlessly earlier in the evening. I was also disappointed that our anniversary went unacknowledged. While not obligatory, even a simple verbal acknowledgment or small gesture (such as a celebratory dessert) would have elevated the experience and demonstrated the level of hospitality expected from a two Michelin-star establishment. It’s precisely these small touches that separate good restaurants from truly exceptional ones. Additionally, after our final dessert course, we were not offered coffee or tea and were left somewhat hanging, unsure if the experience had formally concluded or if there were additional offerings to come. This added to the sense that service had lost its flow and attentiveness. The end of the evening was particularly frustrating. After finishing our final course, we waited about 20 minutes without clarity on whether the check would be brought. We eventually requested it, only to wait another 20–30 minutes and ultimately had to ask a second server before receiving our bill. For a total bill of nearly €680, I would have expected impeccable, seamless service throughout the entire experience. In summary, the food and wine pairing at Delta were outstanding and deserving of high praise. However, the inconsistency in service—especially toward the conclusion of the meal—was disappointing and detracted from what should have been a seamless anniversary celebration.”
