“The experience staying at the cottage is the best you can have. It feels like you're having your own private little house right in the city center. Spacious, lovely little garden area... And the staff at the reception is very friendly (incl. Cooper the little puppy!)”
“This was my second time staying here. I remember the first time was comfortable despite having to share restrooms. This might be the most affordable decent stay in all of Napa county. It was about $140 a night. Restaurant is on the first floor and all the rooms are on the second floor. The room itself is small, but comfortable enough for 2. There's a sink inside, a chair. No tables or couches. The walls are paper thin, but they provide ear plugs. The AC/heater works great. Bathrooms are on the same level and are split between male and females. Each has 2 showers and 2 toilets and all have their own doors. Towels, shampoo, condition, shower gel are all provided. The office has coffee, tea, water, and scones. Staff are very nice. Free street parking is plentiful. Located right in downtown Calistoga, walking distance to everything. I would stay here again”
“We stopped here for lunch. The outdoor area where we sat was really nice. The service was good, the prices were reasonable, and the food was tasty too. The only thing we'd say is that the gnocchi, which were good, had more vegetables, specially some kind of broccoli, than we'd expect. Anyway, it was an enjoyable lunch in a beautiful place!”
“The Real Deal is Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery which delivered on some flavor and plenty of different dining settings. Let’s start off with we did not stay just stopped in for food so our rating is based on the restaurant. So the service was pretty solid, not very upbeat server just very mellow. Greeted pretty quick and food came out in a respectable time. The atmosphere has a lot to offer, inside dinning is very nice but they had the doors open which allowed a lot of bugs flying around, nice indoor area separated from everywhere else. A ton different seating options outside which made for a great all around atmosphere no matter the mood. Now let’s move onto the main event: da Food! The chicken dish was really good very juicy and puffy mashed potatoes overall 9/10. The steak was not good at all 4/10 bad cut of meat and cook and seasoning not there. Rest of the steak meal was 6/10. Overall a fun and great spot with some good options, until next time cheers!”
“We chose Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday, and while the food was wonderful, the overall experience fell short due to service. The grilled artichokes and beet salad were both delicious, and our entrées—the salmon and a seafood pasta—were equally enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service really detracted from the evening. When we arrived, we weren’t greeted for 15-20 minutes, which set a disappointing tone from the start. Our waitress seemed unhappy to be there and was not very welcoming. While everyone can have an off day, it did impact our experience. Given that we were celebrating such a special milestone—my mom’s 80th birthday—we had hoped for at least a small acknowledgment, but there was nothing. It left us feeling a bit overlooked. It’s a shame, because the food and location truly have so much potential. A little more attention to service and guest experience would make a big difference and turn a good meal into a memorable one.”
