They make their burgers and other meats on it…great picture spot. I would highly recommend this as a lunch place after wine tasting in Napa.”

“We arrived early for our reservation at Charter Oak and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. Our waiter was warm, attentive, and happy to answer all of our questions. We decided to splurge on the steak and caviar flatbread, absolutely worth it. Everything was incredible and truly exceeded our expectations. The only minor note was that the steak was ordered medium rare but came out closer to medium well. It may have just been a simple misunderstanding, and we didn’t mention it at the time. Overall, was great with the exception of the steak being overcooked.”

“Came here for our last night in town. This was recommended by the Airbnb host. It was for us average. We shared a whole chicken which came out in two halves because of mix up with the order. Interestingly, one half tasted different from the other. One was more tender while the other was more dry. The two vegetable dishes were also ok. The octopus appetizer was a bit disappointing. We’ve had octopus appetizer dish before and this would be on the bottom half. I would say if it’s your last night, I would not come here. The garden seating was nice but you had the flies and the setting sun to deal with.”

“It was ok. The bread that they make is only sourdough. The raw vegetables contained mostly turnips and green daikons. They were good, but I would like to see some tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers. Maybe they were out of season. In any case, radishes for $25 is a little steep. The beef tartar was good even if it was not the traditional one. Then the main courses. Rock cod was a little too fishy. Bavette steak was a little tough, but the flavor was good. Smoked mashed potatoes and roasted turnips were very good. For desert, the apple tart and soft serve ice-cream were ok. They do not make espresso, only drip coffee. The service was mostly good. Our waiter forgot one cocktail which we did not remind him since we were ok without it. It was not on the bill.”
