“There are restaurants you recommend… and then there are restaurants you hesitate to recommend because you’re selfish and don’t want to lose your table. The Med on Bayshore is firmly in the second category. This place is what happens when Mediterranean food stops trying to impress you and just casually is incredible. No gimmicks, no overthinking, just bold, authentic flavors that make you question why you ever eat anywhere else. And then there’s the magic behind the curtain. At some point during your meal, you may find yourself asking, “Wait… who’s running this place tonight?” Answer: Ciro. And if you’re lucky enough to meet him, you’ll realize pretty quickly that the answer to most questions at The Med is also “Ciro.” Tommy may be the name you hear, but when he’s not there, Ciro steps in like a seasoned headliner who didn’t need the introduction anyway. Calm, confident, and quietly orchestrating the kind of dining experience that feels effortless… which, of course, means it absolutely isn’t. There’s a rhythm here. Plates come out at the right time. Flavors hit exactly how they should. Nobody’s rushing you, nobody’s hovering, and somehow everything just works. That’s not luck. That’s people who know what they’re doing. And the best part? It still feels like a secret. Naples has plenty of polished, high-profile spots where you can spend a lot of money being seen. The Med is where you go to actually eat… and then wonder why more people aren’t talking about it. So yes, go. Order the seafood. Order the turf. Order something you can’t pronounce. Trust the kitchen. Just don’t tell too many people… or we’re all going to have a problem.”

“Mauro was amazing and took great care of us! Food and atmosphere were great as well! We all started out with starters. Escargo, tuna tartare, meatballs, and salads. For entrees I highly recommend the lasagna. Risotto was also another great dish. They have outside seating which was really nice.”

“My husband and I came to The Med for a romantic dinner on St. Paddy’s day. Our server, Nicholas, was phenomenal! He attended to our every need and suggested great dishes for our dinner. We had the pizza with mortadella which was amazing, as well as the table side filleted Branzino for two. The wait staff was very attentive to the conditions outside since it was a little chilly and provided us with a heater and blankets. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting delicious food, great service and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.”

“The Med is a wonderful restaurant. The food is outstanding. We had the Lamb Ragu Rigatoni, the Braised Short Rib Lasagna, and the Chicken Milanese. All were perfectly prepared, and delicious. It hard to pick the best one, but if I has to, it was the Lasagna - a signature dish. The portions are a good size and you are likely to take some home. The restaurant had great ‘vibes’. Tony, the owner, was gracious, friendly and spent time to ensure that we felt welcome that we were having a good time. We were. We had Nick as an our server. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and attentive. We loved the place and will be back. I strongly suggest that you make reservations. However that have a nice bar if you walk in and have to wait for a table.”

“First time there. It was a lively, noisy atmosphere inside. Next time I'll try to sit outside. I had pistachio soup, which was really different, but really good. It had zatar seasoning and yogurt in it. I also had chicken milanese, which was very tasty. Our server, Henry V., was friendly and attentive. We definitely will go back.”
