A cozy oasis above the streets of Brooklyn, Aliya Cocktail Den offers a warm and relaxed ambiance and is a welcomed alternative to the rowdy scenes around New York City. Opened in 2024, the speakeasy-like den is located on the fourth floor of Hotel Indigo Williamsburg and is accessible via an elevator from a “hidden” check-in area off the main lobby. The space offers a seamless day-to-night epicurean atmosphere, encouraging guests to linger in an elevated home-like setting with friends and family. By day, the indoor den is drenched with light; come evening, panoramic views to the west offer the perfect sunset. By nightfall, the den’s intimate ambiance provides dim ambient lighting that envelopes guests in mystery and romance reminiscent of a bygone era. Sitting adjacent to the den, its newly renovated seasonal pool deck with private cabanas offers guests quintessential Williamsburg views and vistas of the Manhattan skyline.
“Hey ! Shoutout to URI & Ashley it Was Amazing from start to finish. I came here on a Thursday night date and we had a selection of drinks and the cold smoked tamarind wings and the flavorful oxtail tostones. We will be back ! The three rounds of their drinks and the flavor profiles settled really well with the aesthetic of the environment. Rnb music low underneath, dim lighting and beautiful conversation with experts in the hospitality industry. 10/10”
“Whether you’re looking for a sun-soaked summer vibe or a cozy family dinner, The continent AndAaliyah’s Cocktail Den delivers every single time. I’ve visited twice now, and both experiences were absolutely stellar. The Summer Vibe (August Visit) My first visit in August was all about the roof deck pool. Renting a cabana is a must—there’s nothing quite like having refreshing cocktails brought right to your seat while you soak up the sun. It felt like a true getaway right in the middle of Brooklyn. The Dining & Lounge Experience (October Visit) I returned in October with my family and we spent the evening in the downstairs restaurant. The food was simply delicious—every dish was a hit. I even had the pleasure of meeting Chef Scott Innis, the mastermind behind the menu. It was great to chat with the person responsible for such an incredible culinary experience. The Cocktails & Atmosphere After dinner, we headed upstairs to the cocktail den, and it was the perfect way to end the night: • The Vibe: Extremely relaxing and upscale, yet comfortable. • The Staff: Warm, welcoming, and attentive. • The Music: The DJ was on point, playing exactly the right tracks to keep the energy up without being overwhelming. Final Verdict: Aaliyah’s is a versatile spot that manages to be both a high-energy summer pool destination and a sophisticated, welcoming restaurant and lounge. I can’t recommend it enough!”
“Very grown and sexy spot! Perfect for a date night or catching up with friends! The prices are high but makes sense for the area and worth it. I would share plates and same different items! Next time I’ll come back to try the crispy rice which seems to be popular. Live music every Sunday at 7p and 8:45p! 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to visit the pool in the summer!”
“S/O to Chef Scotley Innis, and partner Aliya, on this dope Caribbean-fusion bar concept, nestled in Williamsburg's Hotel Indigo. I have had great experiences at Aliya and hope to dine at Continent BK soon. The drinks are fun, festive and precursor to a great time! THE FOOD IS DIVINE. Make sure to order everything off the menu. Seriously, that's the only way to truly enjoy what Aliya has to offer! The ambiance is spectacular. The service is hospitable and engaging. The menu is a creative masterpiece. Perfect for date nights and intimate gatherings.”
“First impressions were good. Hostess was helpful and accommodated our party of four. We were seated at a lovely coffee table by the poolside. The music was good and not too loud - loud music is one of my pet peeves so I was very happy with the atmosphere. However, it took about 15 minutes to get menus. After receiving menus, I had to go back in and ask for a waiter to be assigned to our table. The food options were only small appetizers. We ordered oxtail tostones and crispy tuna rice. Fifty minutes later - no food. Finally the tostones came out, but still no crispy tuna rice. I was so upset that I didn't taste the tostones, hence why no review on the food. Absolutely loved the vibes. If the service was better, I'd be back, but after this experience, highly unlikely I'll return. If you’re looking for a nice place on a beautiful day to chill, give it a try. We were there close to sunset, and it was gorgeous. If you actually want to eat, go to a restaurant where you might get service in a timely manner. This place had people, but it wasn't packed. I can't imagine what would happen if all of the tables were occupied.”
