The front dining room, known as the Tavern, boasts high and low-top tables alongside its popular bar, providing a more relaxed, casual setting to catch up with friends and loved ones over well-crafted cocktails and shared plates. “UPDATED REVIEW 5/26/26 After my original review below, the management reached out and invited me and one of my friends (one of the folks who had a negative experience) back for a follow-up visit...and I'm so glad they did! For anyone who's looking at my review history, food is KING for me and I can forgive all manner of offenses for good food. And the food here was ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT! I'd only had drinks here previously, so this was my first real taste of the kitchen, and wow. The cheese soufflé was pretty intruiging...rich yet fluffy and light all at once. The bread pudding our waitress recommended was a total winner I'm not even a bread person and I loved all the bread options And the $40 classic cocktail + any entree (including steak frites) deal I also loved that there are two separate menus to choose from Service this time was impeccable and attentive, a complete 180. Ambiance-wise...the room had that warm, cozy buzz with a good number of diners, but never so loud that we couldn't actually hear each other talk. This return visit completely changed my mind, and I'd definitely recommend coming back. Hopefully no more weird happy hour experiences for anyone else either! ____ Previous review (summary) Came for happy hour with a group of 7 and had a confusingly bad experience at the bar. The bartender had someone move my bag off a seat I was holding (in an almost-empty bar) so her friend could sit there. Then at the end, several of our happy hour drinks were charged at full price with a string of nonsensical excuses: different bartender rang it up, but apparently couldn't have two of the same drink as happy hour, they also rang it up after 6:30 even though we ordered before, etc. It was just a chaotic mess and I have the literal receipt that also show how confusing it was. The food was fine and the charcuterie was generous, but the service felt sus and antagonistic.”
“Excellent restaurant. Our grilled branzino for two was super delicious. Friendly service and great atmosphere. Not too noisy and easy to have a conversation. Great wine list.”
“Had a delicious birthday brunch at this lovely location right near Madison Square Park. The chicken and waffles and pancakes were both delicious. The bread pudding was the stand out though! Highly recommend saving room for dessert.”
“Absolutely incredible restaurant! I came here for the first time with my sister and cousin for brunch, and we were extremely pleased with everything! Our waiter, Serkan, went above and beyond to make sure we had a special time. He was so personable, professional, and attentive! I got the farmer’s omelet which came with home fries- it was delicious! I can’t wait to come back and try more of the amazing food selections on the menu. So thankful we found this gem!”
“The place is huge and has a modern feel. We were here for brunch on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. The short rib hash and egg was outstanding, though I thought the potato could have been crispier. The fresh juice was just ok. The service was great, very attentive.”
