“Today we were at Class on 38th after work. My daughter and I tried every happy hour dish. They were all delicious!! The waiting staff was impecable!!! Atmosphere was great with a good vibe!!! We will surely come back with friends and try their regular menu!!”
“I came for a solo lunch and the food was top quality. I thoroughly enjoyed the grilled branzino, oolong hi-tea and matcha mille crepe. The portions were just the right size and beautifully presented. The service was quick. I would eat here again!”
“This place is amazing. All the dishes we ordered are really good. I especially like Agedashi tofu and branzino. The service is very attentive. Someone comes to change our plates between really saucy dishes. Highly recommend!”
“My friends and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. My first thought when I walked in was that this place was pretty small. It’s a long and narrow restaurant than can only fit 2 tables side-by-side, but what it lacks in space, it makes up for in its menu. Everything was really good, except for the Truffle Mushroom Kamameshi because it was too salty. But we especially loved the Wagyu Strip Steak and Unagi Foie Gras Donburi. They have an extensive list of cocktails and mocktails too and the 3 drinks we tried were all really good. Food: - Crudo (Hokkaido scallops sashimi, market uni sea urchin, red radish, chili, shiso aguachil) 9/10 - Truffle Chicken Dumplings (crispy heritage chicken dumplings, black truffle, matsutake mushroom, black garlic aioli) 6/10 - Octopus Yaki (grilled Spanish octopus, yuzu kosho pepper coulis, petite potatoes, shiso tomato) 9/10 - Hamachi Kama (grilled Berkshire pork jowl, shio koji cured, kimchi relish, Tobanjang BBQ) 7/10 - Wagyu Strip Steak (imperial wagyu reserve striploin 14oz, cauliflower puree, broccoli rabe, black pepper demi, shiso oil) 10/10 - Unagi Foie Gras Donburi (roasted freshwater eel, hudson valley foie gras torchon, truffled tare, seasoned koshihikari rice) 10/10 - Agedashi Tofu (fried silken tofu, nameko mushroom, shiiitake porcini mushroom ankake) 9/10 - Truffle Mushroom Kamameshi (Japanese koshihikari rice with pan roasted oyster mushroom, truffled tare, shaved black truffle) 5/10 Drinks: - Green Tea Sour (Ginza no suzume shochu, matcha nigori, yuzu, greentea syrup, aquafaba) 9/10 - Shiso High (Junmai ginjo, Shochu, ume plum, lime, jasmine tea syrup, shiso oil) 9/10 - Maracuyá (Shochu, bergamot, yakult, aquafaba passion fruit) 8/10”
“I must have missed this place in my review of influencer posts. This bar is a gem of a find on 38th st basically near Times Square. I won't bore you with how I feel because you want to read the things to get. OK drinks - shiso's last word for those who like rfreshing - mirror mirror for those who like creamy sweet - paper island for those who like tart - far east sour for those who like contrasting tastes - all the others for well anyway they're all good but those four stood out to me. Then food - monkfish karaage is a must - same for toro uni caviar, I know, I know, caviar is for pricks, but be a prick this time - chawanmushi yes - hokkaido uni pasta if you're into squid ink (yeah, that's the second flavor) - salmon ikura kamameshi because the fish is prepared well - furikake fries if you want the potato crunch. I cannot recommend this place any more. It reminds me in vibe of my favorite cocktail place where I live (Perch, in Harlem). These cocktails, done this well, with this precision on the food, is a hard find. I would say do not go for a quick drink. Go for a night.”
Never miss a table
