“Just had an amazing experience at Claw Daddy’s Seafood Restaurant in downtown Brooklyn, and I had to share! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was upbeat and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. Now let’s talk food — incredible. I went with the seafood boil (of course), and it did not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned, buttery, spicy (just how I like it), and the portions were generous. The crab legs, shrimp, and crawfish were cooked just right. I also tried the sweet potato fries, small bowl of white rice and mussels on the side — both were delicious! Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking to try something new, I definitely recommend giving Claw Daddy’s a visit. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back! PS- my little princesses as you can see loves ClawDaddy’s”
“The oysters were amazing! I had them raw and Rockefeller style. Both were fresh and full of flavor. The adult Capri Sun was fun and really good too! Now the wings… they looked good, but tasted old and when I bit into one, it was bleeding. Definitely not it. Thankfully the seafood and drinks made up for it, so I’d still come back — just skipping the wings next time.”
“Claw Daddy’s Brooklyn is a simple spot with a relaxed atmosphere, though I expected a bit more in terms of decor and ambiance. The food was tasty without being overly complicated—the oysters and appetizers were solid, and the drinks were enjoyable. However, I wasn’t too impressed with the alcohol served in a pack, especially for the price. The main dishes were decent, but the menu can get expensive, particularly if you opt for the seafood selections. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, it’s a good place to grab some seafood, but I wouldn’t necessarily consider it a date-worthy spot.”
“Went to Claw Daddy’s last night and found out it is now under new management and the new name is “Surf & Chicks”. All I can say is YUCK! I was craving a seafood boil all week and came here just to be so disappointed. First of all they are OVERPRICED! It was two of us and the bill was $220! The boil I got was so bland, all I was able to taste was CAJUN SPICE. Mind you, I ordered garlic butter flavor and it tasted nothing like it. It was so nasty I didnt finish it. There was little to NO meat in the crab legs and they were soooo soft I could literally BEND them and it wouldn’t crack! My friend ordered their head on shrimp and said it was disgusting. She did say the oysters were good though. Also they no longer serve alcohol. Just soju and it is so weak, we had one drink each. It was a Saturday night and it was empty in there, I should have known. I remember Claw Daddy’s used to be the spot! Always packed! They have new “Surf & Chicks” menus but still have the old Claw Daddy menus that were very dirty. The service was decent but not very informative. I feel like I wasted money and was very upset I decided to come here. Should have went to Shaking Crab like I originally planned.”
“They didn't provide any service, yet they charged us 18% as a tip for just two people. The menu stated a 20% tip for groups of four or more. Terrible! The menu prices are unclear. No one wants to come to your restaurant like this; it feels like they don't welcome customers!”
