“Top french restaurant in New York: very good music, very good food, very good people. You need to make a reservation! You are quickly seated and served, the french waiter is very professionnal. The soup gratinee (oignon and cheese) is perfect. The cabillaud fish with ratatouille is fresh and cooked at the right temperature. In France, the young chef of Felix would get a one star Michelin for the high standard of his cooking. And on sunday afternoon people start dancing! I highly recommend this place!”

“Was concerned about the reviews but I always rate based on my own experience which was very solid. Came on a Friday afternoon, beautiful weather, great outdoor seating and good service. We got the steak frites which was solid, however was on the expensive side, in fact most of the menu was very expensive for food I don’t think was deserving of that. Would recommend going at a not busy time for the best experience.”

“I was a bit concerned about this place due to the constant low ratings, but was pleasantly surprised. Food was decent, ambiance was good, service was good. Came for a friend’s birthday and it was crowded and lively. We all got lamb burgers and they were delicious. We got a couple appetizers including fried calamari, meze platter, hummus, falafel as well. Decent selection of wines.”

“Avoid at All Costs – Shockingly Rude and Aggressive Staff I had one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had in New York at Felix in Soho. The problems started before we even entered. There was complete confusion around the reservation line. I had a reservation and was instructed by the hostess to check in with security and get my hand stamped while I waited to be called. When I followed her instructions, the security guard immediately started arguing with me, insisting I had to stand in a different line. I explained that I was simply doing what the hostess had told me to do, but instead of helping, he became increasingly aggressive, raised his voice, and repeatedly told me that he was the one in charge. To make matters worse, after we waited about 30 minutes in the line we were directed to, we discovered it wasn’t even the correct line. Once seated, the service didn’t improve. We had been given multiple menus and were trying to figure out which one applied to us. My friend politely approached a staff member wearing a World Cup shirt with the venue’s branding and asked if she worked there. Her response was pure sarcasm: “No, I just wear this because I’m an idiot and like to have fun.” The comment was completely unnecessary and incredibly rude. When my friend looked back at us in disbelief, the staff member became visibly annoyed and walked away without helping us. The most unacceptable part happened when the soccer match ended. Before everyone at our table had even finished paying, a security guard came over shining a flashlight directly into our faces and eyes. One of my friends calmly explained that she was still waiting for the payment machine, but the guard immediately became confrontational and started yelling at her. He continued shouting while repeatedly pointing the flashlight at her face. The situation felt unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. When my friend said she intended to leave no tip because of how poorly we had been treated, a staff member confronted her and insisted that tipping was mandatory. When she explained that the decision was based on the service we received, he became angry and told us to leave and never come back. Throughout the entire experience, the staff consistently displayed hostility, disrespect, and a complete lack of professionalism. What should have been a fun afternoon watching a game turned into an exhausting and unpleasant experience. There are countless places in NYC where customers are treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, Felix is not one of them. Would never return and would not recommend.”
