Han Dynasty opened its doors in 2007 as a Mother-Son restaurant bringing Sichuan style spice to the American audience. We’ve grown to 10 locations across Philadelphia and NYC. We are committed to sharing the authentic cuisine of the Sichuan Chinese culture and the tradition behind it. Han Dynasty’s mission encompasses not just serving great food, but providing great experiences in our unique locations featuring local art, at our lively bars, and in our private events. Our delivery game is on point too, getting to you quickly with the same care and attention you find when dining in our restaurants. “My food is a perfect balance of spice, numbness, saltiness, and flavor” - Han Chiang, Founder
“Han Dynasty has landed in LIC! 🌶️ Famous across NYC for its bold Sichuan flavors, this new spot serves up dishes that hit all the right notes—spicy, numbing, savory, and aromatic. The Fish Dry Pot is a must-try for anyone who loves a punch of heat, while the Braised Beef Noodles are equally irresistible. With its stunning décor, extensive menu, and lively vibe, this is the perfect spot for flavor-packed dining in the city. 🍜✨”
“The food is very delicious, the space is big with so much beautiful art, and the people are very attentive and kind. The sesame cold is very good and something I had not tasted in other restaurants they more often sell noodles in peanut sauce. The salt and pepper shrimp was excellent contrast on texture and flavor to the noodles and dumplings on chili oil. Suprisingly not as packed as I would imagine with such good food and accommodating space, and other Han Dynasty locations often have such a long wait for a table . I will be coming back here again”
“Han Dynasty in Long Island City continues to deliver that signature Sichuan heat with impressive consistency. If you’re looking for a meal that balances numbing spice with deep, savory flavors, this lineup is a perfect blueprint. • Dan Dan Noodles: A mandatory start. The noodles have the perfect "pull," and the preserved vegetables and chili oil create that addictive, creamy-yet-spicy base that defines the dish. Wasn’t a big fan but with Chili oil makes taste so much better. • Long Hot Pepper with Beef: This is not for the heat seekers, as it’s not spicy. The beef is sliced thin and remains tender, while the peppers provide a bright, sharp snap that cuts through the richness of the meal. It’s one of my favorites, and but with added chili oil gave it that kick. • Chicken Dumplings: These serve as a great counterpoint to the heavier spices. They are well-constructed with a delicate skin and a flavorful filling that doesn't get lost, especially when dipped in the accompanying sauce. Overall The LIC location maintains the high energy and bold flavors the brand is known for. It’s a fantastic spot for a communal-style dinner where you can pass around the heat and enjoy some of the best Szechuan levels in the borough.”
“Close to subway. Large portions. Friendly staff. Beef was grisly and tough. Make sure to order food spicy or it might just come under flavored and oily. The scallion pancake was not greasy but it was dry. The beef dry pot medium was actually bland but had nice veggies. The garlic sauce is actually quite sweet.”
“Han Dynasty in LIC is a bit of a mixed bag. Its price is rather affordable, and its environment is spacious and gigantic. While the interior design is actually alright, the table and chair choice is not that high-end or well-maintained; the whole place feels a bit bachelor with college vibes. Food-wise, the portion is quite generous, but the quality is below the bar. Some dishes felt re-heated and pre-made, and the texture of the pork and chicken was a bit odd. I would definitely recommend improvement on all fronts; otherwise, I’m not sure about its longevity.”
