Conceived over years of wild nights – in bars and on boats – Holywater celebrates the indulgences of our birthplace, New Orleans, and our adopted home, New York. It's the bar we’ve always wanted to go to! The menu is concise, and everything on it is what you want. It leans on classic and forgotten cocktails, wines you can feel good about, easy-drinking beers, oysters and fruits de mer, an exceptional bistro burger, and an old-school New Orleans gumbo. The Dining Room offers traditional seated dining. The Lounge provides casual seating with cocktail tables. The Bar is walk-in only. Our complete menu is available in all spaces. We look forward to hosting you!
“Found this hole in the wall after having dinner clise by. Drinks are awesome made to perfection. Love the service. Hostess greeted very friendly as we walked in. A must stop for Speak easy drink. 👍🏽👍🏽”
“Holy Water is a great spot with a fun speakeasy-style atmosphere. We had Hurricanes to start, along with the caviar tater tots, deviled eggs, and grilled Caesar—all were excellent. For dinner, the hanger steak and lobster frites were both outstanding and cooked perfectly. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the overall experience was fantastic. Looking forward to coming back.”
“This place has such a cool, energetic and yet cozy vibe! We had such a great meal, the BBQ shrimp, the Lobster Frites and Steak Frites ... cooked perfectly! The drinks were also spot on ... the Mezcal Hurricane! Staff was extremely attentive and friendly. We totally come back again!”
“LOVE the vibes inside this restaurant. It’s so creative and you definitely feel the nautical atmosphere. Everyone here feels like they love their job and they are so friendly and nice. I loved my drink but I want to come back for food!”
“Holy Water is a fantastic find in Tribeca! The staff is super friendly and attentive, always ready to help with drink or food picks. We sampled five cocktails, and the Mariner (gin-based) stole the show—perfectly crafted and refreshing. Highly recommend it! The food was great too: creamy oysters that tasted super fresh, juicy chicken with great seasoning, and a solid hanger steak. Their lobster frites were a nice surprise, rich and satisfying. The vibe is unique, like stepping into a New Orleans ship’s underbelly with candles, nautical art, and cozy seating—perfect for a romantic night or hanging with friends. Finding the entrance on Reade St can be a bit confusing, but the experience inside makes up for it. Overall, a very good spot I’d happily visit again”
