“The food is 10/10 - we came here for lunch and had two set lunches, topped up with dumpling set, Wagyu char siu, and the soy bao dessert. The Wagyu char siu is a must try and the soya bao dessert. The dumplings were also amazing and the lunch set is extremely good value for money. The service however, was 11 out of 10! Johnna was so attentive and sweet. She gave us very good recommendations on the food and every dish she recommended was on point! Memorable and delicious experience”
“Had a really great lunch at Hutong. The space feels upscale but the food still tastes authentic and flavorful. Loved the spicy wontons and the lobster with scrambled eggs. The duck was also surprisingly good. Service was attentive and the portions were generous. Definitely a great spot for a nice lunch or dinner in Midtown.”
“Had a great dinner at Hutong! We ordered half a Peking duck (so crispy), spicy lobster, beef tenderloin with Lao Gan Ma, calamari flowers, and chicken salad. Everything was flavorful and well-executed. The milk tea tiramisu and soy milk cheesecake were a perfect sweet finish. Cocktails like the Smoked Dan Dan Old Fashioned and Chinese Lantern were unique and delicious. Service was attentive, and the Art Deco vibe is beautiful.”
“I caught up with an old high school friend visiting from London and wanted a spot with great food and a nice atmosphere where we could actually sit and talk for a while. Hutong was the perfect choice. The food was as consistent and impressive as ever. We loved the Chili Prawns—crispy, spicy, and perfectly balanced. Even the fried rice, which I took home, was delicious the next day. But the real surprise was the dessert. We tried the Hong Kong Tiramisu and the Soy Bean Cheesecake. They were both incredibly light, creamy, and not too sweet, easily rivaling any trendy dessert spot in NYC. Honestly, Hutong should consider an afternoon tea service featuring these gems! The Peking duck is always a solid choice, and they even do table-side service if you order a whole one. Don't sleep on the Seafood Cone appetizer either—it’s a flavorful, crispy little roll. A reliably great spot for quality Chinese food in Manhattan.”
“Finally great Chinese food in NYC, instead of the huge Hop Hop Kee style portions etc. Yes, le Cirque in that location was different, not so ”diner” atm as now. The service was young and leading but evening was beautiful. The calamari and scallop appetizers were very pretty, made us hungrier and soooo tasty. And it is the dream always to get the duck well served and prepared, now almost better than in Xian. And the crispy pork but tira misu was even tastier…thank you!!!”
