Laissez Faire is a high-end, bespoke cocktail lounge & microclub located at 10 Theatre Alley, within the historic Beekman Hotel. The club's design juxtaposes the structural foundation of the building formerly known as Temple Court, erected in 1883, with luxurious finishes and details, elevating the environment while maintaining its unique industrial essence. Open 4 days a week (Wednesday - Saturday) at 8pm, it is the perfect gathering point for early evening cocktails and bites, with martini service and food offerings. Join for live jazz music every Wednesday from 8:30pm-11:30pm. Later in the night, top-tier DJs from around the world step into the gold-foil booth that presides over the 4-point Danley Sound Labs system, playing a unique blend of timelessly cool tunes.
“not a lot of places like this in fidi. so cozy, so romantic!! the moment you walk in staff is super welcoming. It’s cozy lounge vibes. LIVE JAZZ on weds. They serve food until 10, small bites, loveee a shishito pepper. this is the cutest most romantic date spot.it’s an intimate space, dim lighting, it really sets the mood 😭 omg they have GAMES. You can play uno, backgammon, cards, mancala. perfect place to transition after the din at the beekman. There is even a little photobooth that’s free 🥹 it’s really cute. Service was great. Loved my drinks. LOVED the music. I’ll def be back :)”
“Atmosphere and service was amazing. We came early on a Saturday evening. The food was overpriced and not really good, but it’s a bar so we didn’t expect much. Espresso Martini was great! Will come back again.”
“Laissez Faire is a bar/speakeasy located downstairs at the Beekman Hotel, with its entrance tucked away in a discreet alley. A bit shady haha!I came here for a date around 8 PM, when the atmosphere was still quiet and intimate—perfect for conversation. As the night progressed, things picked up by 10 PM. The lights dimmed, the music turned up, and tables were moved aside to make room for a dance floor. The energy completely shifted into a fun, lively vibe. Cocktails were well crafted, and the service was excellent—our server was friendly and attentive throughout the night.”
“It was supposed to be a jazz night on Wednesday but instead it was a band (college level). False info on the website. Drink is good. $91 for 3 drinks.”
“It was boring and service was bad. The had one waitress in there with probably over 50 people. It was nearly impossible to get a drink and even harder to get the tab. There was no live music. It was a Saturday night.”
