“I had a fantastic experience at Layla. After an initial visit that didn't meet expectations, the owner, David, reached out personally to make things right. I returned to try their original menu and it was excellent—the food and service were both top-notch. It is clear they truly care about their guests' experiences. I highly recommend visiting and will definitely be back!”

“Went here for my birthday on Friday, the atmosphere was amazing & so was the place itself. Definitely loved it. We did a fixe menu for being a 9 top, and I loved the prosciutto & Caesar salad, the cacio e pepe & steak did come out cold , even when my friends asked for it to be warmed it still was cold, which is weird for those 2 foods especially even if it’s busy. I definitely wouldn’t get the steak again personally or the pasta, but the other two items were good. Drinks were a 10/10. Our server aswell was the sweetest girl ever even during a super busy time. I will say, I had to pay a deposit that was half of the bill before coming in. They did not deduct that at the end of the night which was then told to me that a refund is always given back to the original card, and I’m not sure why we had to pay a $500 deposit to begin with then if it was too be reimbursed to me. Odd. The owner did take it off when spoken to, but I don’t know if that was just cause we said something. Otherwise, please let your customers know of these reimbursements for no confusion later on. Especially during a busy time so we didn’t have to stress out our waitress!! No cake cutting fee though! Would definitely go back for drinks!”

“I attended the Willy’s Pies X Layla Brooklyn pop-up and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed. I originally made a reservation for three people. The reservation time was changed twice without notice, and when we arrived we were told they were expecting only two guests. It appeared that our party size had been altered without our knowledge. As a result, the three of us were seated uncomfortably at the bar, which made us feel cramped from the start. We ordered two pies, each priced at $42 dollars. The pies were served on small plates with a modest portion of mashed potatoes and a small amount of cabbage. I was surprised by how small the pies were for the price. Given that the pies are sold for £5.50 in the UK, the markup felt excessive. I understand that this was a Brooklyn pop up and pricing reflects overhead, but the portion size and overall experience did not justify the cost. I had been genuinely excited for this collaboration, but the limited menu, uncomfortable seating, and portion size left me feeling disappointed and taken advantage of rather than impressed.”
