“I just had a dinner with my fiancé and future in laws at Marco Polo Ristorante. We come from Long Island and had an over an hour and a half drive. The atmosphere was so calm and friendly. The music was the perfect volume and great for conversation. We had the baked clams, raw oysters, and fried calamari and shrimp for appetizers and they were all equally delicious. The 2nd plate we all received a plate of the red wine pasta which was one of the best pasta I ever had and I don’t typically like Parmesan cheese and the bedside service was Amazing. The lasagna, chicken parm, and chicken with artichoke was to die for. I definitely recommend having the coffee crème brulee as it was so smooth and the best desert I have ever had. The drive was so worth it. The owner/chef Mario came to thank us at the table for coming to the restaurant which doesn’t happen at many places. After reading others reviews that disagreed with my opinions- I have to say I have eaten as Michelin star restaurants, 200-300 dollar per person dinning, famous chef restaurants and this restaurant definitely is within my top 3 favorite ever so my recommendation to those individuals would be to learn what good food actually is and develop a mature palate. Will definitely be coming back! Also on our way out we noticed they do parties so it definitely is an option for a pre wedding event! Thank you Marco and team for delivering such a beautiful dinner for us.”

“Was looking for an Italian restaurant in Carroll Gardens. Came across this place and am happy I did. We came kind of early in the day, so we were the only people there. The food was delicious! Everything hit the spot from the fried artichoke appetizer to the vodka bucatini and the pork chop.”

“Our dinner at Marco Polo Italian Restaurant was one of those cozy, laughter filled evenings that linger in your memory. The place has that classic Italian charm, warm lighting, soft chatter all around, and a welcoming staff who made sure everything flowed smoothly from the moment we sat down. We ordered several dishes to share. The oysters came bubbling under a layer of golden cheese, perfectly seasoned, with a squeeze of lemon that lifted all the flavors. The pizza had that thin, slightly charred crust crisp on the outside, chewy inside with just the right balance of tangy tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. You could tell it came straight from a real pizza oven. We also had lasagna and their porkchop. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and even though the restaurant was busy, the atmosphere stayed relaxed. Everyone around our table was smiling and enjoying themselves kids included which says a lot about how family friendly the place is. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian spot in the city that makes you feel like you’re part of a long Sunday family dinner, Marco Polo is it. Delicious food, good company, and that home-style warmth you can’t fake. Highly recommended for both intimate dinners and big group meals alike.”

“The staff is great. Very fast, professional. The food overall was good, a bit too salty for me. I asked for a medium rare, it was a bit more cooked but was very soft I did enjoy it very much. I got the beet salad with fig sauce. Too much sauce and too sweet. Clams were amazing- also a bit too salty. It was pretty calm for a Saturday night I liked that. They could be a bit more elegant by simply changing the tableware, candles and lighting. Overall a very good experience.”
