Located in one of DUMBO's 19th century factories, just 2 blocks from the waterfront, Pearl St. is a modern raw bar with small plates and snacks. Great music and relaxed vibe. Sommelier selection of natural wines by the glass and bottle, with local beers. At 10-seats, it is a true chefs' counter where you can experience the entire meal as its prepared for you. In addition to the a la carte menu, a multi-course tasting menu is available, with additional wine pairing as well. Please note in your reservation if desired.
“Note that “J Zhang (x 2)” and “Lucas Baker”’s 1 star reviews are not accurate. I heard them enter and there were definitely apologies exchanged for the system messing up. Also, it smelled wonderful and was super clean and aesthetic. We had the absolute best Valentine’s Day dinner at Pearl Street. 10/10 in all possible ways. It’s a family operation, which adds so much to its charm. Every dish was so unique and also delicious. You HAVE to get yourself to this adorable supper club. We cannot wait to get back.”
“We visited Pearl Street for the third time in a year and it somehow keeps getting better. We have always thought it was a great restaurant, but this visit truly stood out. The food was fun, creative, and incredibly tasty, and the service was warm and welcoming. We did the chef’s tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was a complete no brainer. Every course was excellent and thoughtfully paired. Easily one of the best dining experiences we have had in years. Do not overthink it. Just go. A solid 10 out of 10. We will be back very soon. Thank you!!!”
“Most underrated restaurant in NYC. Amazing chefs table experience with a mix of seafood, red meats, and other high quality ingredients like truffle and foie gras. Highly recommend if you are celebrating a special occasion or is just looking for a good meal with well balanced flavors.”
“I had a date night with my wife here and I must say we had a wonderful experience. The whole staff was attentive and made good conversation. The food was amazing! I have no complaints on ANYTHING that we ate. The peanut butter and jelly sandwich was done in a way though that I'll probably never experience again. There was a good mix of light and heavy dishes and by the end you will be full but craving for more. I highly recommend this place and it's chef's menu that changes every season btw. Once again a wonderful experience and a wonderful staff.”
“We had a pulsd voucher ($149 for tasting menu for 2 and a glass of wine each) and decided to use this on a Friday night. With the voucher you had an option of 6pm or 8pm and we decided to go for a 6pm slot. When we arrived we were the only ones there, and this remained the case until about 8pm, so the atmosphere was lacking and it all felt a little sterile. The space itself is unique, with you seated around a small kitchen watching the 2 chefs prepare everything. We didn’t have that much interaction with the chefs but our server was great and very personable. The 8 courses we had comprised of the following (I didn’t catch the official dessert names so these are just my descriptions): Oyster with apple and jalapeño and shrimp with homemade cocktail sauce Fluke Ceviche Scallop with cauliflower Bluefin Tuna Shisito pepper, parsnip foam and fermented tomatoes Wagyu Beef Foie Gras and Peanut Butter (PB & J) Deconstructed peach cheesecake Chocolate “Oreo’s” All of the food was good, with the exception of the tuna (which was underwhelming because of the tuna itself) and the Wagyu (because my wagyu was so fatty). The thing that really shines at Pearl Street are the sauces, every single one that we had was delicious and really elevated the dishes. Even the dishes which were underwhelming because of the main component you still enjoyed because the accompanying sauce was so flavourful. One thing I would just highlight is that there is no bathroom in the restaurant itself, you have to take a keycard and walk outside to alter neighbouring building. Not really a big deal but just something to be aware of. All in all we enjoyed our meal at Pearl Street but I am not sure I would revisit and pay the full menu price. On a Pulsd deal though it is great value and I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.”
