“Travail will 100% ruin other restaurants for you. They're operating at a different level - every experience is wholly unique, offering spectacular service, stellar food, and creative storytelling woven into every moment you're there. My friends and I go to Travail frequently and cannot get over how wildly inventive the team continues to be. From the themed concepts to the signature dinners, every single visit is one to remember. It's completely worth the price of admission: every dish is the best thing you will ever eat, the drinks never stop flowing, and the staff actually care whether you have a good time. We try other restaurants and are usually disappointed, but Travail has never let us down. Do not hesitate: book your experience now. You’ll honestly regret not doing it sooner - I know I did.”
“We LOVED everything about our signature tasting at Travail last night... the team went above & beyond to cater to our pescatarian needs (no octopus). We sat at the pass table and loved watching the chefs manage/create so many incredible dishes in the main kitchen. Chef Caleb & Fin took great care of us and explained each dish thoroughly. Travail is such a fun, non-stuffy upscale experience & we can't wait to return soon! Thank you!!”
“Amazing dinner experience 😱 the chefs are all so personable, you feel like you’re the only ones at the table. Super thoughtful menu with fun little stories behind every meal! An espresso martini isn’t on the drink menu, but the bartender said “I got you” when I told him that I wanted one 🥰 10/10!! Such a fun date night!!”
“Travail is a top rated MN restaurant in our household! Pricey - but worth it. We've been here twice and most recently we did their regular tasting menu, but plan to come back for one of their themed events. The food by itself is amazing but the drinks and interactive experiences make it an over the top experience. Best this time around was the fish hook to grab a delicious cured meat and the guessing games to win various prizes were also fun. We had a punch drink of some sort (wish I could remember the name but they do also seem to switch them up) that was out of this world and the short rib course was incredible. Apparently through the end of the year they were doing inclusive drinks with food, which was so fun because we got to try a few different drinks on the house. The upstairs bar is also fun and they play some great music. They have only a few tables on the main floor, including the one we sat at in the kitchen, so you'll sit with other people but its not too crowded and still manages to feel semi-private. 5/5 stars, we will be returning!”
“We had a wonderful experience the first time we went so we thought hey they have "Duck & Wagyu winter Feast" in their Sky lounge let's give it a try this time Oh man from the moment we got our seats they started serving a peice of prosciutto we had to grab with our mouths. Don't even get me started with that lol he had a stick with a large hook along with a peice of prosciutto on it. Ummmm the hook touched peoples mouths, cheek and hair lol I was definitely not participating in that shit. Everyone thought it was fun but hell to the no! Food was not worth the money, it came with drink pairing aswell. Duck was tough and dishes were not good. I believe I enjoyed 1 dish and that wasn't Duck or Wagyu was so disappointing when that's what we went for. I'd also like to the mention if I'm at a tasting menu event I expect changed silverware each dish. Maybe it me but I've never been to a place where they didn't do that. Like how do you expect me to taste the food properly am I supposed to lick my spoon and knife clean before you bring another dish? I'm not don't yet. The sky lounge was extremely hot I had the heater above me so I was baking! Over all the customer service was amazing everyone was really nice and helpful turning off the heat. Unfortunately other people were cold so it had to be turned back on which I understand but man try to enjoy a dinner under a heater.”
