“cool vibe natural wine bar. love a good natural wine bar. amazing wine all round. we got 4 glasses and they did not disappoint. their specials were fab and the entire tasting menu looks fab. would love to go back for more food. great service. happy 4 years!”
“Sleek and bustling spot. The swordfish, the pasta and the daily special mushrooms were very memorable, although really everything was good. Great wine choices and solid service too. A strong recommend for a weekend outing for groups of 2-4.”
“One of my favorite wine bars/restaurant! Excellent rotating menu and really fun cozy environment with an open kitchen, knowledgeable staff. The mussel starter with green sauce and the lamb tartare were favorites. Everything was excellently prepared, no notes”
“UPDATE review: I had a mixed start at Place des Fêtes, but the team really turned it around. My first visit was disappointing as the food was overall too salty, despite the excellent service and atmosphere. Management reached out and invited me back to try their new menu, and I’m glad I went. This time, I let the server know my preference for less salt, and the kitchen did a great job adjusting. We had a full 7-item meal—the mackerel toast, halibut, and Okinawa sweet potato were highlights. The dishes were much better balanced with greens and sauces this time. The kitchen is clearly very skilled and attentive to feedback. I highly recommend talking to your server about your seasoning preferences and asking for their recommendations. OLD review: Food in general was too salty. Okay quality, but not something that makes me want to come back. • Main dish (pork ribs): texture was excellent (10/10), but again too salty. • Orange cake (recommended by the staff) was great — paired perfectly with the thick whipped cream on top, sweetness was just right. Best dish of the meal. • Total was about $200 for two people, not including tip. • Overall rating: 7/10. Food was acceptable; atmosphere and service were excellent (9/10). • Probably won’t return”
“I had high hopes for Place des Fêtes but I was pretty disappointed, especially for all the high reviews it received. For the price they’re charging here, you either have to increase the portion size or really knock the customers socks off. Some of the dishes were comically small, I get this is tapas but come on. My favorite dish was the sardine toast but that’s the only thing that was good. The pasta tasted like something you’d make at home and the cod was lukewarm, not appealing at all. The freshness of the ingredients was spot on, you can definitely taste the quality but it’s the actual delivery that flopped. I do have to shout out to our waiter who was great and offered some solid suggestions. There are some great restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in this area but PDF is not one of them.”
