We've moved! Dinner Party will be reopening at 274 Hall Street, Brooklyn NY on November 1st! We are an intimate, communally-minded, prix-fixe restaurant in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
“I've been to Dinner Party many times, and would always go back! The rotating menu makes each dinner here feel exciting and new, but also thoughtful and well executed. Food is fresh, delicious, and colorful. The ambiance is fantastic - cozy, warm, and social. I will always recommend this spot to someone visiting from out of town, or looking for a special place to celebrate a birthday. I love you Dinner Party!”
“Dinner Party is simply a standout Brooklyn staple for me and my friends, and its THE spot I take people visiting if I have even just one meal together. Rotating menus constantly bring an exciting, CREATIVE, and absurdly delicious take on anything from classic cravings to plates I've literally never thought of putting together (and immediately try to recreate). I'm still trying to figure out how to make the corn dashi broth I had with littleneck clams and sea beans here once! I have yet to have a meal here without at least 5 WOW-factor moments, and GET THE WINE PAIRINGS!! Open as a cafe on the weekends, too! The staff is so kind and attentive, and the entire environment really does make you feel like you're at a cozy dinner party in a house full of furniture, dishware, and little details you're spending all your non-eating time coveting! As a glimpse into the atmosphere, we are always talking about how this is the dream dinner buy-out destination after a chic courthouse wedding. Book and be joyous!”
“Dinner Party is always a fabulous time! The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, warm hospitality, and incredibly yummy food. In the four or so times I’ve been there in the past year, I’ve always left feeling satiated and excited for the meal and experience I just had. I last went to Dinner Party last Tuesday for their current pre-fixe menu and it was so delicious. The citrus and persimmon salad was a great way to start before diving into a perfectly fried snapper. To finish, they had this amazing sticky toffee pudding-esque dessert. Their menu changes every two weeks and it’s always fun to see what new menu the team comes up with and try it out. Highly recommend as a date night spot or a place to catch up with friends!”
“I thought the space was really pretty and nice but the price was quite high for what was included. Also we were told too last minute that we had to leave when there was only 10min left, that’s when they served the ending champagne glasses but also started clearing our table. It was super chaotic and could’ve been handled so much better.”
“Overall, an extremely disappointing Valentine’s Day experience. Our 7:30 reservation resulted in a 20-minute wait to be seated, despite the restaurant allotting two hours per reservation. On a holiday where menus are priced at a premium, expectations for timing and service execution are understandably higher. Despite confirming my allergy through Resy, via email, and again verbally at the table, an allergen-containing dish was still served. While mistakes can happen, serving the wrong dish after multiple confirmations is concerning. The replacement arrived tepid and noticeably rushed. At $170 per person, the food and overall experience did not justify the price point. There are Michelin-starred restaurants offering more refined and cohesive dining experiences at similar cost for V-day. The meal was overall uninspired and painfully average. Course 1: Scallop & Kiwi 4/5 The standout of the evening. Refreshing, balanced, and thoughtfully executed. Course 2: Panisse / Beet Replacement 2/5 The beet replacement felt rushed and lacked cohesion. The allergy communication breakdown here was particularly disappointing. Course 3: Endive Salad 2/5 Overly bitter and under-seasoned. Course 4: Cherry Short Rib 3/5 Flavor was solid, but both portions were poorly trimmed with excessive fat and slightly dry meat. Course 5: Pavlova 3/5 Pleasant but unremarkable. Given the premium pricing and occasion, the execution simply did not meet expectations.”
