“Before we got here, my fiancée and I were sorely disappointed in the lunch we had at another place we discovered on social media earlier today so we went into this with our fingers crossed. This was our first time trying Cambodian food. We were positively blown away. First, the elephant in the room. It’s quite busy, especially when short staffed, so expect long wait times. Secondly, the food. We started with the soy garlic wings… they were ok. But the boneless wings with the dry rub? First off… they look like regular bone in wings but they’re completely boneless. Were they de-boned at some point? Then the sauce they came with. I often wonder what would be considered the BEST sauce on the planet. I don’t even exaggerate when I say the lime pepper sauce they use might just be the absolute best sauce I have ever tried in my life and I’ve tried A LOT. BATHE ME IN THAT. Chef Ranna, please don’t change ANYTHING you do. They also had these positively delicious lamb chops. They were glazed in this chili ginger BBQ sauce… amazing. Cooked and seasoned well, nicely tender. To finish, we had the strawberry matcha French toast and it was amazing. Nice mix of sweet and tart. An honorable mention goes to the Holiday in Cambodia drink which was also really good! Whatever you guys are doing, please keep doing it. We will be back!”
“somlar kari was so delicious! only one chicken leg but very filling. the cocktails are $13 i hope the prices stay this way ❤️ the piña colada is gorgeous and tasty. the restaurant is beautiful and 70s themed inside. excellent and fast service”
“Beautifully warm and cozy with a variety of seatings that work great for dates, friends or family meals. I love that the back room turns into a speakeasy, it def feels like one. The food was well executed with delicate yet surprisingly Cambodian flavors. Everything we ordered was excellent, my kids loved their fried rice and chicken. I want to come back and try other items on the menu, esp the curry. Loved our evening meal here. A neighborhood gem ❤️”
“Cannot believe this was my first time to Lula Mae! We had a lovely “family date” with my toddler and everything was perfect. Ambiance was more of a vibe than anticipated, the service was friendly and prompt, the menu was unique and flavorful and there was even a kids menu! All in all a perfect evening out; we’ll be back!”
“It was a cool cozy restaurant. The waitress was fast and the food was delicious. I just felt that the prices were a lil high on certain dishes. But overall I enjoyed my experience.”
