Located in NYC's West Village, Roey's is a casual eatery inspired by Florentine cafes and Neapolitan pizzerias. A sibling to Rosemary’s, it offers Italian cuisine and sourdough pizzas from its wood-burning oven. Renowned for hosting the city's best happy hour, Roey’s welcomes both friends and families with its seasonal Italian menu. The restaurant features a cozy, hidden standing bar, emphasizing a friendly, neighborhood vibe.
“Love their gluten free pizza. Really cute spot but a bit loud inside, especially on the weekends during brunch. My husband loves the garlic knots (non gf item).”
“Tried happy hour at Roey’s and honestly loved it. Such a cute West Village spot to meet friends after work and just sit outside for a couple hours. The vibe feels very neighborhood-y and relaxed. Happy hour is Monday–Friday from 4–6pm and the prices are actually really good for the area — $5 cocktails, $4 beer, and $6 wine. I got the Rosemary Spritz and would definitely order it again. We also shared a pizza and some small bites and everything was really good. It’s one of those places that feels easy to stay at longer than planned. Definitely recommend if you want a casual but nice happy hour spot in the West Village.”
“I recently came here yesterday for dinner with a friend and it was worth the visit. The inside was very cozy and had a nice ambiance. Our waitress took good care of us. The espresso martinis are a 10/10. We also got the penne vodka and garlic knots. The pizza is made fresh. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The desserts were life changing too. Huge fan of the olive cake! Thank you guys!”
“The perfect spot if you’re looking for amazing pizza and Italian dishes. We got the margherita pizza, soppressata pizza, and garlic knots. Probably the best garlic knots I’ve ever had, would return just for these! The interior is quite small, though very aesthetic and welcoming. Only issue was the restaurant was quite busy and very loud (hard to hear others at yours table and difficult to walk through restaurant), and service timing was slow then rushed towards the end. I would come back again for the food!”
“Tasty spot for pizza and and/or drinks located in the heart of the West Village. It does get crowded, particularly on weekends, so making a reservation in advance is the way to go. Both the Burrata pizza, with creamy cheese and fresh tomatoes, as well as the Soppressata pizza, with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, are great items to order. Though the ambiance inside is also nice, I prefer their outdoor seating for a lively feel.”
