Since swinging open its doors in 2012, Rosemary's has become a beloved staple of the West Village and in 2021, Rosemary’s came to the East side. A neighborhood treasure known for its seasonal ingredient-driven menu, homemade pastas and named for founder Carlos Suarez's mother, Rosemary's celebrates the warmth and flavors of her Italian home in Lucca.
“Today there was a lot of chaos because of the weather, but the entire staff handled it amazingly. All of the servers worked together to keep everything running smoothly despite the challenges outside. Everyone inside coordinated food and drinks so efficiently that orders were coming out in under five minutes, which was incredibly impressive given the circumstances. The teamwork, professionalism, and positive attitudes from everyone involved did not go unnoticed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure customers were taken care of, and they absolutely deserve recognition for their hard work. Outstanding service and an excellent experience!.”
“Rosemary’s East is hands-down my go-to lunch spot, and I’ve been here at least 10 times, which should tell you everything. The aesthetics are beautiful, the service is consistently fantastic, and the food is always phenomenal. Truly a 10/10 experience every single visit. Their lunch special is perfect for me: a fresh, flavorful salad paired with one of their delicious pastas. It’s the ideal portion, incredibly satisfying, and always hits the spot. I’ve never had a bad meal here. One small thing to note for anyone visiting in the winter: it can get very cold inside. The restaurant is surrounded by windows, so there’s definitely a draft. I was freezing during my last visit, had my jacket on, hat on, and even ordered hot tea just to warm my hands. That said, I don’t fault them for it; I’m sure it’s tough to manage during colder months. In warmer weather, this place is absolute perfection. They open it up, the vibe is amazing, and outdoor seating makes it even better. Despite the winter chill, I still give Rosemary’s East a full 5 stars and will absolutely keep coming back. If you work in the area or need a reliable, delicious lunch spot, this is it.”
“I didn’t catch the waiters name but our server was so nice and he recommended such good dishes. We got the focaccia bread with ricotta cheese on top for a stater and got some wine and spritzes for drinks. We got two pastas and they were more than enough for one person”
“Rosemary’s never disappoints. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and they’re wonderfully accommodating of my gluten allergy. All of their pasta and pizza dishes come in gluten-free versions, and they’re delicious!!! Another reason this spot is a favorite of mine is that even when it’s busy, you can easily hear everyone at your table. No yelling over each other.”
“The food was decent, but the service was appalling. As we were walking to the restaurant, we felt like nobody. The host, manager, waiter, and bartender all ignored us. The waiter treated us like we were nothing. We were the only Asian group in the restaurant and got the small top table. We ordered much more than the rest of the customers, but the service was terrible. The waiter with the shot and curly hair and glasses was particularly annoying. He seemed disinterested in serving us. The only positive aspect was the ambiance.”
