Executive Chef Daisuke Nakazawa's Omakase menu features different fish and shellfish globally, with a focus on Japanese waters. Highlighting seasonality, Chef's "New York-mae" style Omakase offers both classic, and modern interpretations of Edo-mae style Nigiri. The Same Omakase service is offered at seats at the Sushi Counter, Lounge Counter, or tables in the Dining Room.
“I still think Nakazawa is one of the best omakase in the city without breaking the bank. We sat at the sushi counter, its 21 pieces with the ability to add on additional pieces. Food was excellent, service was super attentive, staff was friendly/polite, and the chefs were engaging. I would def recommend checking out the restaurant.”
“Of course, you don’t get to see master Nakazawa. But the Omakase course was still carefully prepared with high quality of ingredients and chef’s skills. For $250/pax, very compelling.”
“Had an incredible 2-hour multi-course dinner at the one-Michelin-starred Sushi Nakazawa. The wine and sake pairing, which changed with every dish, was absolutely perfect. I felt so proud to see both the manager and head chef are Korean! What impressed me the most was their attention to detail—they noticed I’m left-handed and swapped the positions of my glass and chopsticks. Truly top-tier service." #다시 가보고 싶은곳 #별이 다섯개 #예약필수!!!”
“Sushi Nakazawa has been on my list for a while, so I was glad to finally check it out last weekend. It’s definitely larger and less intimate than many of the other omakase spots I’ve been to in the city, but the service and quality more than make up for that. The meal was perfectly paced and never felt rushed. Every piece of sushi was incredibly fresh and exquisitely prepared. You can tell they know exactly what they’re doing. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but overall I’d say it was worth it.”
“This was a pretty good omakase experience, but not necessarily incredible. The sushi tasted excellent, and having 20 pieces was ideal. The selection and presentation, though, was a bit uninspired and seemed to just check the boxes of what you expect at omakase. The atmosphere was the weakest point. The lights were bright, white walls, grey carpets, and black tables gave a monochromatic look, and even the counter was all white. Most other omakase places keep low warm lighting with spotlights for the food, natural colors and earth tones like bamboo for the counter, furniture, and walls. Being the *complete* opposite was really jarring. If you're only looking for good sushi, this is a good choice. But I'm not likely to come back to this restaurant.”
