“i walked in without a reservation just for myself and i got seatedtd right away! luckily, i arrived when it was the beginning of the round. im a sushi and omakase fan so i had to try this place out since i moved to this area recently. the course was very filling! fresh fish and everything was so good. they also had UNI !!! my favorite. will definitely stop by again sometime this month”

“PHENOMENAL! I was a little leary of omakase in East Harlem and at the price point, but this place hits it out of the park. Very simple ambiance and decor but made up for by very charismatic service staff and professional cooks. Splurge on the premium omakase, it's worth it for the chutoro...nice and fatty. Will definitely give Sugarfish a run for their money and it's nice to see uptown. Meal can get a little rushed at times given the high turnover; however, the pace keeps it moving. Nice to see this quality food and experience uptown, and I will definitely be back.”

“My first omakase, and such an amazing one! My family did the basic menu, and it was very filling. Friendliest staff who made the experience very interactive. I won a game for two free nigiri, which was so awesome. Krystal was so kind and knowledgeable and Calisto was a great chef. Overall one of the best restaurant experiences anyone could ask for.”

“The lunch tiers (starting at $38) are an incredible deal for the city. The fish tastes good for the price, though the construction was a bit weak—one of my pieces actually fell apart as I went to bite it. The space is very bare bones and dimly lit; it’s comfortable enough, but don't expect much in the way of atmosphere. It’s also less traditional, as they provide extra soy and wasabi for self-seasoning. A solid choice if you're prioritizing your wallet over the "vibe."”

“This Sushi W location on the Upper East side is a intimate and cozy omakase establishment. I've been to their location in the East Village and thoroughly enjoyed my experience here much more. I felt less rushed, the experience was more attentive, and the quality was a lot better. Here, you can get 14 courses for ~$45 (there's a promo going on right now). All of their fish was super fresh and I loved some of their more unique garnishes for the fish (such as their truffle powder with salmon and their basil with hamachi!). I would say that they do have bigger portions of rice, which I'm not a huge fan of. Overall, great spot for some affordable omakase!”
